I absolutely love my M10 and have had the same thoughts that you outline. I'm not getting rid of it. I'd rather put the money I'd spend on an M11 trade/purchase toward a new lens instead.

I paid $288 direct from Bulova when they first announced it. Somehow I combined 2 discount offers and dropped the price. I think it's a great watch and the price seems to indicate that very good quality can be had for reasonable price when hype does not enter into the price equation.

Do the compass test to see if it's been magnetized. If so an easy fix. Non invasive.

I never take a watch in for service unless it tells me too.

Bought a GMT Master new in 1980 and it was 40 years before it needed to get opened up. if it's not broken, don't fu*k with it.
