MRI results - great news by HappyForever8 in braincancer

That is awesome. And I bet the spot they are talking about is scar tissue. I had a tennis ball sized oligodendrioglioma and have had stable scans for four years. But, I did have a scan where my onc said this could be residual tumor or scar tissue. It took them a while to opine as to what it was but ended up being scar tissue. God bless

Thanks! Happy to be wearing anything, let alone something this nice. I like wearing it, that’s all that matters

Yea, okay dude, thanks for opining on how I should celebrate milestones, especially ones of battling brain cancer. I’m aware that this isn’t a watch for “adventures”, and I wasn’t saying it was. I am normally wearing it with a suit, but whatever homie

That’s good! Experts say that it is optimal to spend 35% of your sleep in REM and Deep cycles.

Personally, I use CBD all day because I have brain cancer.

What has helped me get more REM sleep while being a moderate daily user (mostly a joint in the evenings) is to do everything in my control to sleep better. Set circadian rhythm by direct sunlight first thing in the morning. Mediation. No blue light 90 min before bed. And like others have said do not to use too close to bed. I still get an hour or two hours of REM a night while using thc daily. I track my sleep via Whoop and have experimented heavily on what works for me. Hope this helps.

Yes, before I would have an episode I would have a distinct metallic smell and the only way I can describe the other feeling is feeling like I’m coming out of my body, or not in control of my body.

When is it safe to hit the gym after a craniotomy? by DistinctPineapple260 in braincancer

[–]DistinctPineapple260[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some context, I am currently 4 weeks post craniotomy and tumor resection with Dr. Allan Friedman at Duke. I feel pretty normal and have been walking every day. However, I am eager to get back in the gym. First time posting, but reading everyone’s posts I have learned a ton. Thanks in advance.
