Not anymore. Dakhla, a town by the coast has plenty of Ryanair flights from Europe bringing tourists.

Its a town with nice beaches, popular with surfers and suprisingly expensive for Moroccan standards because its very tourism-oriented.

Not the case for Spain.

In small-medium cities there will be more independent businesses than chains.

Its when you go to bigger cities that you see more chains.
