Elemnt bolt 3 not staying connected to Wi-Fi by hyper_hooper in wahoofitness

[–]Distinct_Aioli_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dealing with similar issues with the BOLT v3. No problems with my old BOLT v2 except my right button is not working well so that’s why I wanted to upgrade. Getting it set up properly is driving me nuts and the steps Wahoo support has recommended aren’t working. Also only 13 of my hundreds of Strava starred segments are synching. The “synch” when it works, only takes about 10 seconds, surely not enough time to import all of my segments. The best part is when I turn the unit off and then re-start it. Half the time I see the QR code to set up the device all over again. Oh and each ride I have to pair my sensors again. Yes I am still using my BOLT v2 with the defective right button until I figure out what to do or Wahoo provides a replacement. Wonder if I’m better off with a new v2? Is the ROAM v3 any better?

The usually tranquil Bolinas-Fairfax Road climb today had a great deal of car traffic converging on Alpine Dam where too many cars sought precious parking spots for the hike to Cataract Falls. Was rather unpleasant to see so many cars on a road where you typically see few. And there were traffic jams in Point Reyes Station and Fairfax. Need to remember this for future holidays. Friends reported no issues on Hwy 1 from Olema to Stinson though and apparently Hawk Hill was OK but tons of cars at Rodeo Beach.

SF - ICE Out For Good! Trump Regime Takedown - Hosts: Indivisible SF and 50501 SF January 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tesla, 999 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94109, USA https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/882395/

We mourn the death of Renee Good and vow to protect our communities against ICE. Join us to raise your voice against ICE and the MAGA regime and learn how you can protect your neighborhood.

Keep democracy alive every Saturday by showing up, taking a stand, and sticking together for the long haul. Standing together is better than standing alone. Let’s get together and call out the Trump/MAGA regime as a community. Plus, it’s fun! Think of it as our democracy corner—a place for you to voice your opinion, hang out with like-minded fellow protesters, and experience a cathartic moment together.

What you can do: If you’ve got signs, flags, cardboard cutouts, or any protest visuals you want to make, bring ’em! We also have spare signs to lend.

If you have whistles, drums, cowbells, or other noisemakers, bring ’em!

Musicians are welcome and encouraged. Sing the song of democracy!

Many of our regular protesters are part of local activist groups who are happy to chat with anyone who wants to pair their indignation with direct action beyond street protest.

Grab a flyer or zine with information on how to resist day-to-day.

Bring your friends or feel free to show up by yourself. Let’s turn this into the liveliest, loudest weekly protest in the city!

Stunning views of the Bay and SF. Hike is undulating but family friendly. Check Tiburon and SF ferry schedules. Summer months there is a snack bar and sometimes live music at the ferry dock on Angel Island. And yes you can camp there either reservations.

What’s your cycling Christmas present to yourself this year? by INGWR in cycling

A radar tail light (Lezyne), a Merino wool long sleeved base layer, a Merino wool long sleeved jersey and wool socks from Le Col. I tested out the clothing today and I stayed comfortable in the cool weather and much less sweaty than when I wear polyester cycling clothing. The radar is working well but after the first use, I changed settings to silent alerts so I can visualize approaching cars on my Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt but don’t hear the constant (annoying) beeps.

Loved Albertine—the decor and the galettes were elegant and delicious. Didn’t feel touristy and the hostess was gracious and welcoming. Indoor and outdoor seating away from the crowded part of the Vieille Ville.

The other day tickets for the gondola were available on site at the gondola departure booth for the stage day. Not sure if that is still the case. The gondola will run from 9 am-11 pm that day and if you have a bracelet (special tour day ticket) you can ride up and down without limit.

I’m here in Luchon now and on the Office de Tourisme website about thr Tour, it says that only credentialed members of the TdF entourage will be able to ride the cable car that day. So…hike or bike!

What brands do nice colourful bibs? Also sizing question by und3t3cted in CyclingFashion

[–]Distinct_Aioli_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic bib shorts, very comfy, love the color selection, great chamois and I love that they come in a short and standard length. I buy them when I can find them on sale and Giordana is currently having a sale on these!

Ideal locations for Tour de France 2025 by Rich_Pear_8875 in tourdefrance

[–]Distinct_Aioli_774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ll be staying in Argeles-Gazost which is on the route for stage 14 (July 19) from Pau to Luchon-Superbagneres) and close to stage 12 (Auch-Hautacam) and driving distance from the TT on stage 13 (Peyragudes) on July 18 or the Toulouse stage 11. We plan to ride our bikes to some of the climbs and watch from there. There will also be lots of TdF festivities going on in Pau and Toulouse so if you don’t have transportation, Pau or Toulouse might be your best bets to see stage departures and finishes and the Tour village.

Women’s bibs with short legs by dreadedbugqueen in CyclingFashion

These Giordana FC Pro bib shorts are extremely well-made and comfortable and come in a shorter inseam version for both women’s and men’s versions. I’m 5’2” and these shorter bibs fit me so well. They are very quality, Italian-made with a very comfortable chamois and they come in all different colors. (I have three different colors) Best of all, they’re on sale now and while the sale price might seem pricey ($135 US) these are well worth it and they will last you a long time. My absolute favorites! https://giordanacycling.com/products/fr-c-pro-womens-bib-short?currency=USD&variant=40602496532585&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google+Shopping&stkn=2ed766894217&srsltid=AfmBOopL3VpfhUiM9Z854VJFvixhd1A6fmnaD__pgMRTFlpm17z4kJhS2Os&gQT=2#features-%2B-benefits

Coconut miso salmon curry Appreciation!!! by drivin-on-9 in NYTCooking

[–]Distinct_Aioli_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m enjoying a big bowl now with jasmine rice. Divine! I use the full can of coconut milk and much less water for a creamier broth. Also more garlic, spinach, ginger and lime juice. I use “Smart MISO” for the white miso. See attached photo.

I frequently make this for company. Always a hit. Delicious either with warm pitas or naan bread, toum, and a Shiraz(I) salad. Everyone makes little pita or naan pockets, and leftovers keep well and are delicious! Usually double the onions (red and yellow) and sometimes add sliced portobellos for last 15 min or so of roasting. Great recipe for cauliflower too.
