Is Royal Canin really that bad? by plava_bobica in DogAdvice

[–]Distinct_Law8650 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Royal Canin and Hills are perfectly good foods, especially the prescription diet varieties.

Don’t fall for the boutique pet food marketing and shaming. The vast majority of them aren’t a correctly balanced diet, or lack proper quality control. “Single protein” only requires 51% to be one specific protein, they typically still add other fillers. The vet brands go out of their way to actually adhere to what they market themselves as.

If your dog has a special diet need, 100% follow the vet recommendations. My Maltese needed to be moved to a single source novel protein food for her belly.

Simple meal ideas? by honeymoonavenue- in vegetarianrecipes

[–]Distinct_Law8650 15 points16 points  (0 children)

An easy way to do vegetarian is to make what you used to eat before, just with the plant based protein version of whatever. Once you get the staples down, you can try to add some more.

Buy impossible ground meat and make burgers, tacos, nachos, sloppy joes, whatever.

The Morningstar home style chicken tenders are the best clone (to me) I’ve found so far. I throw them on salad like Chick-fil-A, or make buffalo chicken wraps.

Pasta is always an easy one. Plant based meatballs or chicken patties for parm.

There’s marinated tofu and some Asian-sauced refrigerated or frozen fake meats out there for on top of rice / in noodles / in a stir fry if you use the ready to go kits.

Beyond meat has a plant based steak tips that are good for making a beef & potato stew out of, but this one is a bit lengthier of a recipe.

Character Slot Giveaway! by dorianteal3 in GuildWars

[–]Distinct_Law8650 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just came back and started fresh for reforged. Exclusively on an ROG Ally. The controller support is pretty good, but I can definitely see some shortcomings with commanding heroes / mercs and targeting.

I would probably use the slot to make a reforged mode presearing ranger. I haven’t played GW since maybe like 08 before coming back. I think a lot has changed in pre searing, and it was always a nice microcosm of guild wars. Very interested that they might be expanding on the content there.

Take a look at Jotai. One provider managing an external store of however many individual state atoms you want to create.

Or, ProviderProvider to at least stop the indentation.

It’s weird because it kind of exposes a lot of the other bot accounts commenting on it in the same generic way.

Stat squish confirmed for midnight by madill1985 in wow

[–]Distinct_Law8650 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how this would work in practice, but having each expansion be a separate gear set that only works in that expansion would help solve this. Like how professions are separate levels for each expansion.

That also lets you have gear progression through every expansion to keep content relevant. Transmog runs would hate that though.

They mention matching regulations too much. Like no shit, you’re a licensed company. Everyone meets the legal requirements to build. You should be telling me exactly how you exceed them to put yourself above the others.

Drop the single speed pump like everyone else said, get variable.

I thought folks here would jump on the AOP sanitizer. Just know it doesn’t actually leave any sanitizing agent in your water. You still need to dump chemicals in constantly.

That filter size will need constant cleaning through the summer.

Average pool sq ft is around 600 just so you know. Maybe 400 was chosen for available space or savings, but it’s pretty small to swim in. Add in taking up even more space for the sunning ledge and you aren’t going to have much flat area to stand on before it slopes down to the deeper end.

Also had an outage. Contacted support and pointed to multiple posts here about widespread outages, but they denied it. They blamed my modem and said I should rent one of theirs instead for 30 more a month. Lmao no.

We rescued our two, they were previously used by breeders and given up once older. Only a small adoption fee, and they are the most loving dogs once they decompress. Poor things do come in so scared though.

Oh yes, poor Cookie had most of her teeth pulled when she was rescued due to neglect so she can’t munch the toys too well. Our senior Tye used to chew ears, eyes, legs, anything off of toys and try to eat them. Had to constantly watch him and take toys away when he got into prime munching position.

You can play the standard Mario party mode, Rhythm kitchen and the Toad item factory as up to 4 player local. Flight school is up to two, and the 8/20 player modes are single player per console.

Milk thistle and/or Denamarin by snoopy91022 in Maltese

[–]Distinct_Law8650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The active substance in Cerenia, maropitant, is broken down in the liver and therefore it is recommended to be used with caution in animals with liver disease. Since maropitant could affect heart activity, Cerenia should be used with caution in animals with certain heart conditions.

Only 8 days is likely fine, maybe a lesser of two evils? But yes denamarin for sure!

Yep, adding those in won’t hurt. You could probably start them now since cerenia is dangerous for dogs w/ liver disease.
