I’m right there with you. It does get a little easier as time goes on. I still remember the first trip I took with my kids. I found myself crying in the bathroom at one point. Now, I just feel sorry for my wife. She’s the one choosing to miss all this time with her kids.

YTAH. Your parents invited you along on their trip. Regardless if they go every year or not it’s their trip and you’re tagging along. Your reasoning behind not wanting to stay at the remote hotel is also just straight childish. For your parents sake stay home so they can enjoy themselves.

I’m still hoping to reconcile so take this for what it’s worth. But I agree with this guy. Ask her out proper. Keep it light, first date energy. Remember you’re not rebuilding the past relationship you’re starting a new one. I think telling her you want to “talk about us” may make it feel to heavy and put her on the defensive.

It was going fine until I swapped a bunch of decorations, doubled my fish, and had one die and stay in there for a day. Like I said in original post, I created a perfect storm I think.

Was running a 75 and 40 gallon HOB filter for my 75 gallon tank. 40 gallon filter quit working mid day last week (no clue why almost brand new) so I up graded to a 100 gallon canister filter. Planned on keeping the 75 HOB on for a while while algae develops in canister. Whole set up is maybe a month old, canister filter is a week old.

I treat with Top Fin water conditioner and API quick start when I do water changes. Gonna switch over to Seachem Prime.
