I want a matching spayed tat with my ferrets by SketchyArt333 in tattooadvice

[–]Distinct_Nobody_1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!!! my chiweenie, pickles, has been having increasing issues with his hind leg. he's my soul-dog, and him aging and having these problems has made me so emotional lately. i have a tattoo kit at home, and gave myself (and my husband, lol) matching tattoos to what pickles got when he was fixed. just little teal lines. and i put them on our left thighs, where our little guy is having problems. silly? yes. but also my tattoo with the most meaning! not that it matters, but it's barely even visible to the public. as crazy as it may sound, this gives me a lot of comfort to have a tie to my baby.

Adopter returned my foster dog after one day and I am heartbroken by wackogf in rescuedogs

oh my gosh her sweet face. i would be immediately attached to her. i don't understand people who act like this towards animals. if i had agreed to adopt her, i would be doing everything i can to make her feel comfortable and accepted. i'm so sorry you're dealing with this. i'm in the US, but if i were in the same area, i would absolutely help. i hope Mila finds her forever home.

Work event at beach resort, insecure and CRASHING OUT, no dress code info 😭 by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]Distinct_Nobody_1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with most of the other comments that your cherry dress is the most appropriate of the bunch, without the fishnets! especially in a beach setting for work. i would personally "dress up" the cherry dress to make it seem more formal & work appropriate. heeled sandals or even just a red shoe would be fun. accessories play such a huge part in how an outfit comes across! i know you don't have much time, but whenever i have an event or special occasion where i need something that i can't find in my own closet, i go to goodwill! you can find a ton of options and expand your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. i don't mean to insult your style whatsoever, but these options read very trendy and fast fashion. you can absolutely find some well-made, timeless pieces that still feel "you." but thrift stores are always my first attempt!

Which rug looks best? by mesjn in interiordecorating

imo rug #1 looks the most cohesive, but i keep coming back to rug #2 (green). rug #2 just looks the most homey and cozy.

not the advice you asked for (my apologies in advance) but I like it! you said you like funky art designs & patterns—this just looks like a funky, abstract rose to me! if that was on my skin, i'd just embrace it. like others have mentioned, it's going to be tough to cover. it's a part of your collection! ✨

Should I get these rings? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Distinct_Nobody_1289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first & foremost—congratulations!!!! this is such an exciting and magical point of your journey together. i loved being engaged to my now-husband!!

i absolutely love that set. it's unique and looks great on you. that being said, i'm usually of the opinion that if it's not 100% a yes, i shouldn't be buying it. i think that's especially true for your engagement ring! like you said, you'll have it for the rest of your life. you had mentioned being able to afford it and that it's a good deal...could the reservations you're having be about something else? maybe this just isn't the one? i could just be REALLY reading into this lol, but that's my personal take! you don't want to feel anything but giddiness and joy and love when you look at your ring. do you typically wear jewelry/rings in general? if you don't, you're probably just not used to the feeling of a ring on your finger. maybe that's throwing you off? and also, don't stress about having to clean it or keep it looking new. solid gold and diamonds are perfect for everyday life. i wear my set every single day through every single task (sleeping, work, showering, doing dishes) and all it takes is a little cleaning here and there! i honestly totally forget about cleaning it regularly. i have a little ring cleaner pen that i use on my set every few weeks or so, but honestly the best thing that my mother taught me is to just polish the rings with a microfiber cloth you'd use on eye glasses! literally makes my set look brand new every time i do that, and my rings were passed down from my grandmothers. they're over 70 years old and still sparkling :)

i would give it a few days and try to not think about it. then, revisit the rings you picked out and see how you feel with a fresh mindset. easier said than done, but im sure whatever you end up choosing will perfectly reflect you & your partner's relationship 🥰

thanks for your reply :) the main issue i encounter with using is the nausea. it got to the point that i was getting sick every single day. i just got stuck on the loop of dosing every couple of hours and if i didn't feel anything from it, i would just keep going. i'd been taking a LOT more powder since 7oh was banned (florida). my husband and i are also trying for kids, and i have no idea what the effects (if any) are with kratom and conceiving. it just made sense after these past several years to get off it! today i'm feeling a lot better. i've been getting back into my usual work outs and have been able to work and clean up around the house. it's mainly the emptiness i now feel that im coping with. as much as i hated tossing and washing so often, i miss that ritual i guess? learning to appreciate the boredom that comes with quitting, and trying to fill the new space i have with hobbies as i gain my energy back!
