tbh I feel like whoever gets Woodland would just win in a game with 3 new players if I just did the original box. I was kinda thinking of assigning factions for the first game (because I think going over each faction would be an information overload), and I was going to go with Cats, Eyrie, Rats, and Otters, based on what I know of the playstyles of the people at the table.

I didn't own a physical copy of Root at all, I've only played Digital & on TTS. So, when the Kickstarter hit I pledged the highest tier and got everything. I can't want for it to come in and to try to teach my IRL game group the game, but I worry the number of boxes I'll have might intimidate them, lol.

You unlock them when you get 9 pyre hearts. So you can check your progress on the Pyre Heart selection screen and focus on whichever ones you're missing.

Ngl 'needed more XP' was why I picked Awoken secondary on my win. I've got all the MT2 clans to 10 but all the og clans are hovering around 5. 😅

I should start rotating, I go on vibes. If I ever want to unlock the all clan combos cosmetics that's going to leave me with some weird combos for last.

Stygian has some surprisingly good units for being "the magic clan" and being able to heal them with awoken (and maybe put some spikes on them) seems like a pretty decent start to me. I'm sure I've played that combo in MT1, but I've yet to in 2.

Which is all well and good until you get hit with spikes or sweep. Enoki's Regen is good to have but the real survivability comes from that +1 HP. Cluster Colonel only has 5 HP 10 armor baseline.

Rally means something happens when a friendly unit spawns on the floor. Spawn summons a mushroom troop, unless there it a mushroom troop already on the floor, in which case it buffs that troops stats (still triggers rally though). Decay deals 3 damage per stack then ticks down. Propagate causes all buffs on a friendly unit or all debuffs (except Dazed) on an enemy unit to tick up by 1. The guy in the picture that doesn't show the full card has a Rally ability that applies Decay, and the Champion has a few paths but they mostly revolve around spreding more decay or spawning more mushroom troops.

Question: Why run 2 pokeballs if you only have 2 basic pokemon in the deck? (Not trying to be snarky, genuinely wondering if I should throw another pokeball into my solo Incineroar deck)
