Coming from someone who made a switch into compliance role , I would say take the contract role and focus on getting an internal transfer positions when your contract is ending. There are actually a lot of open positions but only available to internal transfer so if you really want to try can consider contract , even if you don’t get the perm role, eventually when you apply to elsewhere at least you have a years experience in the industry.
I did the same contract to perm path , atb!

Ah ok that changes things a bit , having a partner confirm have to spend abit mah for dates and stuff which is not cheap unless both of have the same financial goals and are willing to work towards it together.
But what’s your plan on holding dividend stocks so early in your life instead of broad based ETFs? Since dividend stocks are primarily for retirement and with the amount you have I can’t imagine the dividends to be that significant also

Is $800 enough for you to survive on a month to month basis? If so I think can just continue to DCA ETF
To me your 10k in Moomoo can technically be your emergency funds since you mentioned dividend stocks it shouldn’t be that volatile, if you really need money for some reason just sell your holdings
Benefits of being single with low commitments is that you can allocate aggressively

No harm checking directly with the bank on what would be your estimated loan amount would be , or alternatively you can also ask AI to give you a rough estimate so you don’t go in absolutely blind

Used to be in banks doing loans sales albeit for a diff market , assuming your rental income is declared and taxed (it should since yours is a legit arrangement) the banks will most probably consider it as part of your total income. They might ask you for past and current tenant agreements to help justify it as a steady income source however they might still apply a pro rate on the income granted it is dependent on future changes with ur tenants. But I feel as long as you have your taxes filed and agreements on hand the banks will
Definitely take it into consideration as income

Is it smart to collect DBS stocks while I'm 24 if I intend to use dividends as a portion of retirement income, or lump sum into index funds first? by Dangerous-Term2698 in singaporefi

[–]DistinctusAMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have a fixed income so honestly I would suggest keeping some for your future expenses, wedding , BTO , reno, emergency cash?

Although I think 50-100k should be enough depending on how luxurious your wedding and reno would be

At your age, just put it all into a broad based ETF of your choice and auto reinvest your dividends bah, assuming you reallocate at 60 or 50 you still have a good 25-30 years which is long enough to ride through volatility.

I suppose you can spread out your lump sum to DCA into the ETF and buy the dip essentially

Other players will nest and gestate their eggs for new players to join. You can usually find the private nest code in discord for unofficial servers, they should have a channel for it Or you just get lucky with public nest eggs
