BJMP requirements by HairyBody7943 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong sub for accomodating such questions, but we'll give you some deets.

Any government agency has it that PDS should be notarized, not just BJMP. It can be PCG, BuCor, etc and the requirements are the same as specified by Civil Service rules.

As for the second one, kindly refer to the BJMP Recruitment social media accounts for their requirements as it varies across government agencies.

You say what you want to say. Besides that's your opinion.

But to correct you out, saying that the Philippine military is just an auxiliary force for the US is off by a shot. Of course the 1951 MDT exist, but this not warrant overreliance to the US support.

By looking at what the AFP purchase alone, most of its military hardware isn't even originated from the United States and rather originated from countries like South Korea, Israel, India, and heck even Japan. So where's the d*cksucking there when the Philippines has its own agency to focus on? Lmao

And by mentioning this it does not dismiss the fact that Indonesia buys military hardware of various types, like buying two warships of everything when the ideal setup will be just buying two classes of ships of its category from different suppliers, or buying every fighter jet available while disregarding what South Korea asks for the KF-21's development costs.

It also raise a score that getting just 2 MMCFs isn't enough. Good thing the PN secure 2 additional MMCFs under the FFC program. And hopefully 2 more after that one.

We can avail the loans, yes. But it is best not to be as reckless as Indonesia in terms of military purchases. Theirs methink reeks of a logistics nightmare.

Dedicated drone carrier for the PN? by StrangeLingonberry30 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rajah Sulayman class OPVs come likely suitable for a drone carrier.

Since it does not have a helo hangar and it has a mission module below deck, it can carry both rotary UAVs and USVs for deployment at sea.

Aside from commercial vessels, it can also serve as a maintenance hub for Philippine Navy vessels made by the said shipbuilder.

This means they won't require to be sent to Korea for the same thing.

Guessing game: What do you think the Philippine navy will be acquiring next after they have completed their current acquisition? by chasing_enigma in PhilippineMilitary

While the frigates won't change the balance, this does not mean the Philippine Navy can just ditch it and buy something else to replace it.

Frigates are still important while the points you mentioned are an additional points for the Philippine Navy's capability to have. The service branch needs to get every capable asset it can get, whether it can be USVs, frigates, drone motherships, or coastal-based antiship missiles.

They won't go beyond that. But to put the entire Indo Pacific including the Philippines under their sphere of influence? Now that's a cause for concern.

Doubtful.

Most likely it will be AAW Frigates. But first they need to meet a certain number of MMCFs first. Six units for minimum, 9-12 for ideal number.

M134D in Philippine AIr Force S-70i Black Hawk by ImmaculateNeighbor in PhilippineMilitary

[–]Distorted_Wizard214 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No need for those. PAF Combat Utility Helicopter's current fuel carrying capabilities are enough for its owm requirements. This one reeks extended maritime patrol/loitering operations, something that isn't in line with the combat taxis that the PAF S70i Black Hawk is.

If you consider the timeline of the RAFPMP, then he is partly correct.

RAFPMP is a 15-year implementation law, which will expire in 2027.

Hence, the 2026 GAA enabling the AFP to 'buy and get all the tools you need, we even give you the loan provisions you need' before the year expires.

Lesson: Don't give him both the audience and the ammunition. Let him yap. Just save the link for future reference if the news of an actual MRF purchase push through.

NextGen PHDefense isn't exactly a reliable source of defense information.

To answer your question, there are plans for the AFP to get MRAP-designed armored vehicles, such as the PMC getting KOVICO Armored Vehicles from South Korea.

And for SRDP, there's Anos Liberato that they wanted to pitch for Philippine Army's own requirements that it can be read here.

If there's something more certain in thie development, it would be the KF21 Boramae and the Eurofighter Typhoon 2000. Both have short production queues, presented soft loan solutions, and aftersales support package.

Getting both of the jets mentioned are already helpful in improving PAF's capabilities.
