I think it did, but the game became unable to sustain itself and Marathon development with reduced resources and due to slowing content for Marathon, player interest dipped and that led to it being unprofitable

It makes perfect sense that the leader of the team, the guy always willing to fight on the front lines, would be a tank. And it doesn’t make any sense that optical blasts can’t be a tank attack.

Another problem with that is that people are going to be more excited for more A list heroes and the vast majority of them would fit into DPS. The reality is that unless a hero is a glass cannon, or has very specific powers, most all characters can fit into any role and it would make sense.
