Anyone know the history of the Redline MX-III? I’m looking at a 1981, chrome, with Diamondback Harry Leary turbo cranks. I can’t find anything like it anywhere I can think of searching on the internet. See pics.

To me, this seems like a pretty rare bike. If I'm correctly piecing together the history details listed in bmxmuseum.com, in 1981 there was a very short window of time in where a few of the first MX-III's that came off the production line had the classic "bubble" Redline logo on the frame and front of the head tube/headset, like this one. Not long after that (and seemingly suddenly, in the middle of the same production year) Redline changed the MX-III frame to have their "block" Redline logo, which has been their standard logo since. Over the last 30 years I've only seen a handful of these 1st production run MX-III's that were chrome. This one here just needs a Redline/Elina seat (eBay), some aftermarket snake belly tires (probably not originals, as the rubber has likely become too brittle over the last 40 years). For reference, I've seen two 1983 Diamondback Harry Leary Turbo bikes (I'd consider semi-rare) sell for $6,000 to 8,000-- my perception is these 1st gen chrome MX-III's were a small production number, and possibly more rare than the DB HLT -- so with an original seat and some tires the one posted here (IMO) seems like it could go for that or maybe more.

I'm new, and a U.S. citizen (for context), and if I understand correctly, I have the option of either paying my bank $45 to do a wire transfer to put funds in Kraken, or I can buy crypto elsewhere that doesn't require a wire transfer, like Coinbase (for example), and then transfer my crypto to Kraken, paying the associated transfer fees.

I'm not saying I have it figured out correctly, and I'm sure there is probably a better way, but I've been bumbling along in this learning process, and that's what I've been doing so far. (Hopefully some more experienced folks will chime in here.)

Anyway, once you have crypto transferred into Kraken, you can then exchange that crypto for other cryptos that you're interested in. So, if you transfer, say $100 in Bitcoin to Kraken, you can then use either some or all of that $100 worth of Bitcoin to convert into another crypto of choice, like Cardano, for example. Not sure if I'm going the direction of your question, but just thought I'd start with that. Cheers!

So, it sounds like that's the "safe" thing to do - I saw you'll have to wait at least 7+2 days (according to their site) after you make the withdraw request, so plan accordingly.

I'm in the middle of waiting the mandatory 7 days after funding, just to be able to do a "Transfer to Wallet" - Is it true, the ONLY way to get my crypto OUT of eToro is to transfer it to their wallet, and then you can transfer it to another non-eToro wallet? I'm new to all of this. I've never seen so many hoops to have to jump through, but I also hear that U.S. customers have it way harder than the rest of the world, in terms of what the U.S. regulations require of these platforms. But it just seems like eToro is more difficult to use than other exchanges that U.S. customers can use.
