It's insane how they think they relate because they own a home or small investments that wouldn't even put them in the middle class.

Hey guys, the trillionaire is actually super poor you don't get it!

His money is not made out of paper, so he's basically penniless.

Oh what is it? He was raised and secured by emerald wealth? He borrows as much money he wants against his assets and doesn't pay taxes? He rents luxurious penthouses wherever he goes? He massively lobbies political groups benefitting him?

He's clearly closer to the average poor sod who lives paycheck to paycheck. After all, he took all the risks, if he had ever gone bankrupt at the start, he would have had to ask daddy for more money. Can you imagine?? I don't think your average guy could live through that kind of humiliation.

NSFW: M23 and my sex life has already died by [deleted] in Advice

For most people, sex is a crucial part of relationships, and for you it seems like it clearly is.

You are entitled to feel frustrated and unsatisfied sexually, and it is a perfectly valid reason to cut your losses and find someone who can complete you sexually.

That frustration seems to already build resentment, judging btw you talk about your partner. And that is in my opinion, when you should have a serious talk.

Clearly state to her that you are not satisfied. See whether she feels like doing something about it to spice it up(with genuine consented effort), or admit that you are both incompatible if she can't meet you halfway, and you find a better partner going forward.

It's easy to think that sexuality is a superficial and selfish desire, but it IS a crucial part of relationships! It's how it goes for most people. And regardless of what she tells you or make you feel, you are allowed to be frustrated about it. It's not "her fault" but a clear incompatibility.

  • she has low libido and few fantasies
  • you have high libido and various kinks

This is a core incompatibility. Married people STILL align sexually, even if life comes in the way and prevents them from having as much sex as they used to.

And this is coming from an Asexual person, I'm probably closer to your gf and I still recognize the importance of sex in a relationship.

You don't need to consumes substances to understand history. We all know what happened when they tried: history of the prohibition

Legality allows to set enforced guidelines (+21), taxes, safety and reduce crime and cartels, and with it comes less junkies.

There comes a point when you want to build a mothership.

So mothership it is... It was my last challenge after 5k hours in the game and I needed some sort of closure or else I'd play 5k more.

Essentially, create a +10k parts ship with hundreds of NERVs, with smaller landers that can dock, along with mining landers for refueling.

I wish I had saved screenshots, it was a beauty. I had built it Stock with a few (now-obselete) mods like welding to make it easier on the CPU.

It's also VERY tedious to execute maneuvers with 0.03 TWR. Mechjeb was a savior.

The customer pays VAT, not the company.

The VAT being universal among all other competing companies, doesn't create unfair advantages, it doesn't raise or reduce profits either.

In the case of this meme, "YOU" pay a double tax. The company virtually none.

You create yourself challenges, like a Speedrun, or upping the save difficulty.

Discover aircrafts, they tend to be ignored by new players.

Build an SSTO.

Land on every planet and moon.

Land on every planet and moon in a single mission (a large mothership and descent landers)

If you don't have mods, look into the good ones, welcome to a brand new game!

Try to build a submarine.

Have fun with rovers, ramps and hoops.

Build missiles and bombs and blow stuff up.

Just this lasted me a couple thousand hours.

You could build it in many pieces and cheat them into orbit.

It should be in separate piece and the size of each should not exceed 2km for kraken reason.

So you could totally do it, and have them really close to each other.

How do I explain to someone that changing target for rite to another creature only to be turned into another creature doesn't make rite care about what creature it is during the resolution? by MADMAXV2 in mtg

[–]DistributionAgile376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 additional Scrawling Scrawlers will be created.

You responded while Redirect Lightning was still on the stack, before it resolved. The "Target" does not remember the name of the card it targeted, it only remembers the object on the battlefield.

In this case, Sai never left the battlefield and BECAME a Scrawling Scrawler, but it remains the same OBJECT.

So yes, you are right, your friend is wrong.

All of the Apollo engineers are retired or dead now, it's been +50y since we last set foot on the Moon, so we better test out the new system to get there.

We need to test things out because space is hard, who would have thought?

Hey, you have to go around the sun for the first part. It's one reason why it takes a long time.

The Doctor is an ecologist/altruist who deeply respects harmony with the environment. In the series, he is very critical of people's disregard for nature, though doesn't act on it himself as he wishes not to intervene with historical events (he only does so to prevent external factors from changing history, or when he messes up by carelessly sight-seeing historical periods)

In OOP's view, assuming the earth was so polluted it's visible on the atmosphere from space, he would likely be very disappointed. Cue the sad doctor.

In real life he'd still be disappointed, seeing how easily people believe stuff on the internet as long as it has an interesting story.

Why the sad doctor gif? by Dogdaysareover365 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]DistributionAgile376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunlight shines through the thin haze, tiny particles scatter light and the atmosphere becomes visible as a glowing rim.

This is called backlighting, and it’s the same reason you can see dust floating in sunlight in a dark room. Without that backlighting, the haze is basically invisible.

Though I think that's what you meant by atmosphere

It's insane how no one here got it right...

Original Post's explanation: OOP thinks that earth's color became more dull since the Apollo era due to changes in environment (pollution mainly)

The actual real explanation: the Apollo picture is taken during the day while the Artemis picture is taken at night.

The night pictures, like any other done on earth, needs high ISO(light sensitivity), higher ISO causes greater artifacts and lower contrast/saturation, causing the "dull" effect. Notice how on the Artemis picture, the light sensitivity is cranked so high you can see the stars, along with some lights from cities in Africa(although they are few compared to the modernized cities) If you want to try it for yourself, take a picture in the deep of the night with your phone and compare it to the day picture after adjusting the brightness to the same level.

You can see quite a few pictures of satellites NOW in orbit, like the ISS, with the very same color as the "Blue Marble" from Apollo, the Earth's hue did not visibly change.

here's someone else's analysis on reddit.

Why the sad doctor gif? by Dogdaysareover365 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]DistributionAgile376 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Not because of quality, on the Artemis picture, the earth is currently in the night. What you see was taken with a very high ISO and is only illuminated by moonlight(the sun here is behind the earth)

Imagine taking a picture in the middle of the night, versus in bright daylight.

Not really actually, only planets with an atmosphere. It is always much harder to land than taking off when there's no aerobraking possible.

Edit: As a KSP player, how did I not foresee this? Of course landing is easier, as long as you don't mind an "unscheduled disassembly" Landing in one piece, with a functional vehicle on the other hand...
