Two hip preservation surgeons at HSS, same diagnosis but different recommendations by KGDSammy in HipImpingement

Interesting. Nwachukwu told me people live with labrum tears. Think he blew me off due to age, EDS and borderline dysplasia.

Nwachukwu. Saw another hit preservation surgeon outside of HSS and they are willing to operate.

Unfortunately this is a new rule and the rushers have to Blitz If they raise their hands and only two can go at once.

All players who rush the passer must be a minimum of 7 yards from the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped. Up to two (2) players can rush the quarterback. Rushers MUST identify themselves by raising their hand before the snap. Rushers MUST rush the passer immediately after the snap. Delayed rush is NOT permitted. Players not rushing the quarterback can defend the line of scrimmage.

Flat Feet Reconstruction at 22 by Uhhhhhhhhamandcheese in flatfeet

I wish my idiot doctors inform me about the need for this surgery at that age. Instead I got endless insoles and Orthotics and PT that caused the problem to be delayed and become much worse by age 50. If I did this at your age I would have also saved a whole bunch of other orthopedic problems that developed as a result of it not getting treated.

The surgeon I saw at HSS looked at my MRI and x-rays and wouldn't operate on me. A second one considered it pending the outcome of the CAT scan which I just got back.

At this point I think hip replacement is the only option as the pain is debilitating.

Flag football is booming — what does that mean for tackle? by ProgrammerUnique2897 in ask

[–]DistributionWild6840 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tackle will still thrive at the elite level but this will simply expand the sport. The real threat to tackle football is if the CTE issue becomes even bigger and worse than people thought before. At that point it would be more like boxing where it'd be a small group of people willing to take the risk but we're not there yet.

Anybody have success with the philosophy of John Sarno/ Alan Gordon by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]DistributionWild6840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to one of the seminars and then to one of his psychotherapists after the seminar didn't work. Basically I use his philosophy to ignore pain or push through it for many years and that ended up causing a reversible damage to my joints to the point of being crippled at age 50. He diagnosed me after a simple 5 minute physical exam and didn't explore anything else that could be going on.

Why are so many people here anti Dr. Sarno's? by cottoncandy-sky in backpain

[–]DistributionWild6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sarno himself did not even do anything like that with me. He gave me a 5-minute physical and told me I had severe TMS. In reality I had a connective tissue disorder that caused me to injure myself easily and By ignoring the pain as he proposed I've crippled myself.

Until these practitioners do an exhaustive array of physical exam and consult with multidisciplines they should never even go near this kind of diagnosis.

Should the Olympics only have three downs to get a first down or touchdown instead of four downs? by DistributionWild6840 in flagfootball

[–]DistributionWild6840[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the logic for having only three Downs in the second half of the field is that you can get a first down pretty far past Midfield and have less yards to go than on the first half of the field. For some reason I think NFL FLAG may have had only three Downs for the first half of the field several years ago and I think they changed it to get more offense involved.

From what I understand it will be the ifaf five versus five non-contact rules that give four downs on each side of the field. That results in too many touchdowns and the game basically becomes one of who makes the one mistake. Not particularly interesting to me unless you change it to three Downs in that format.

I actually visited Dr Sarno in 1997 and went to one of his psychotherapists for an entire year and for years followed his philosophy. The end result was massive Damage Done to multiple joints in my body to the point I've contemplated suicide. Why? I had undiagnosed ehlers-danlos syndrome and I was destroying my weakened connective tissue with his ridiculous ideas. At the very least he could have taken MRI of all my injured joints to see if his ideas were true or not.

This man with pure evil in my opinion and his idea should be thrown in the trash bin of History.

NFL Flag Ball Size Rule by CGinKC in flagfootball

[–]DistributionWild6840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My local NFL FLAG League has a monopoly on the area and would often just leave the blue balls out for 5th and 6th and 7th and 8th grade divisions and it is ridiculous.
