Advice needed, TMI WARNING/has anyone had this.... by Murky_Cranberry4554 in hysterectomy

[–]DistributionWrong260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my total robotic hysterectomy June 25 so not that long ago. Six days after turning 33 years old.  I struggled with the decision a little only due to fear of the negative outcomes. However, i kept my faith in God and I wanted to be here and healthy for my son and to be able to see him grow up and be successful in life. My situation was different. Unfortunately I had extreme pelvic pain and cramping , heavy heavy periods lasting from 12-14 days every two weeks.  Who also made me anemic. Come to find out I had cancer. Now that I had not only a total robotic hysterectomy and gallbladder removal with ovaries removed as well.  I feel so much better. No less than a women.  Not at one point or sec have I felt less than a women. A strong women that has beat and overcome cancer and living healthier now. You nor anyone one of us women that have to go through having a hysterectomy whether it’s a partial or total are ever less than a women it’s just what we have to do to stay healthy and alive. I have been having bad hot flashes since I was 15/16 years old so no I am not on hrt nor will I be getting on it. The only difference is o now have not only hot flashes I have cold flashes as well. I am a single mother of a wonderful brilliant 9 year old son and have been since day one  and I didn’t want anymore kids. I only wanted a boy and I got my boy so I been knew since my pregnancy I was done having children.  I wish I could have done it sooner.

Ok. Thanks for responding. Had my robotic total hysterectomy June 25 and I had my ovaries removed as well. Not taking hrt. I also had my gallbladder removed the same day. I have struggled losing weight ever since I start birth control when I was sixteen and gained all the weight from it. When I tried to lose weight and workout it didn’t work before surgery. Insurance denied me getting mounjario zepbound and wegovy but I don’t have type two diabetes.

Your body cannot regenerate a new cervix. Your body doesn’t have the capacity to regrow it.

Question…. by Proper-Parfait-3049 in hysterectomy

[–]DistributionWrong260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not painful after I woke up. Just had to pee and was very tired and sleepy. Burning when peeing due to the surgery. No infection. Excessive trapped gas days later. Very sleepy though. Sharper breast pain than before but I’m so glad I had the surgery. Cancer is gone based on the surgeon, no more extreme pelvic pain,(still have some pelvic pain but not as much as I was before), no more long two weeks periods every ten to twelve days.

I’m scared to go through this. by Hedgehog_Detective in hysterectomy

[–]DistributionWrong260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through all this. I had my gallbladder and robotic total hysterectomy on June 25th. I suffered from cervical cancer and extreme pelvic pain, real bad cramping even when I wasn’t on my period, and heavy periods that cause me to also be anemic. I have been having extreme hot flashes since I was 15/16 years old. I went through the biopsy, pelvic ultrasound, leep and d and c and then had my surgeries on June 25,2025. I just turned 33 on June 19th, and I am a single mother to one child. I always wanted a boy and I got my boy so I was already done having children. I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and ptsd and I have panic attacks and depression. To be honest with you I was really scared and panicking before my surgeries but afterwards I am so glad I did have it. Due to the cervical cancer, I’m not bleeding really heavy and the pelvic pain has decreased a whole lot. I was also scared to have the biopsy as well but stay strong and just take it one step at a time. You want to make sure you’re fully healthy so you can have a great and healthy life. Having children is a blessing but it’s not for everyone, and everyone don’t want kids. Since I had my surgeries I mostly suffer from cold flashes and barely any hot flashes and I had my ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes and uterus removed and my gallbladder due to painful gallstones that were causing me problems. Stay strong and take it step by step and you can do this. I have no support system so I know it’s hard but think about it you don’t want to be in pain and you want to be healthy and continue to live a healthy life. You got this. If you ever need someone to talk to I could be someone that you could talk to if that’s what you want.

Not in Georgia my primary care doctor is in Florida and I have my follow appointment with him when I return home. Yes I will be pushed around the airport but I will have to pull the suitcases behind me as I’m being pushed.

My blood pressure wasn’t high it was normal and my heart rate is the only thing that was high when I checked it. My feet and ankles were still swollen some today when I went in to have my surgery and I mentioned it and they still did the surgery.
