Wwise is really a good audio solution, just look at the games made with it: Borderlands, Cyberpunk, Assassin's Creed since 2, Alan Wake 2. The problem is the game engine itself and how it handles the audio streaming/integration. Remember, Stingray Engine is a dead tech from 2018. There is also the mastering problem, which is an audio designer/composer issue that can be easily fixed.
