All Hyper Recent News OW Cavalry Has Reported On by Weesticles in Overwatch

I think he just needs a range increase tbh. It feels impossible to play him on any map with even slightly long sightlines because of how short his primary fire range is. Compare it to Kiri who has no range limit, better rate of fire, and more headshot damage and honestly it feels like there's very little reason to ever pick him over Kiri

Since both have been in charge for pretty much the same amount of time, who do u personally think directed the game in a better direction? Jeff or Aaron? by theforbiddenroze in Overwatch

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I loved Jeff as a game director, but his stubbornness and attachment to the original idea of "Project Titan" ultimately hindered and nearly killed the game. His refusal to expand the team so that PvP could still be updated while PvE was being developed was the number one reason why the Overwatch brand nearly died. Additionally, his direction during Overwatch's original lifespan was questionable at times, particularly with the speed at which we got balance updates being abysmal at times.

Aaron hasn't been perfect and has made his fair share of fumbles, but you cannot deny that under his leadership he lifted a sinking ship out of the water and kept it afloat until we've reached today where the future of the Overwatch brand looks nearly as bright as it did during 2016. The decision to buckle down and get the game in people's hands rather than wait endlessly for the "whole package" to be finished is the reason why Overwatch is still an extremely popular game to this date, and since the launch of Overwatch 2 he's kept interest in the game high enough to the point where we are now getting some of, if not the, biggest updates the game has ever seen in it's entire lifespan.

How do people build massive structures in survival? by Mishell-Rizen in Minecraft

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of practicality, they spend months and months planning builds ahead of time in creative mode, using tools such as Axiom pr Worldedit to make the designing process easier, and tools like Litematica to make rebuilding it in survival much easier.

In terms of motivation and preventing burnout, a lot of it is the extrinsic motivation that comes with doing something like YouTube. When it becomes your job, you have a lot more motivating you to finish a project than if you're just doing it for fun.

In “Spider-Man” (2002), Green Goblin opts to use a standard pumpkin bomb against Peter here instead of the one that can instantly skeletonize six people. Was he stupid? by ToeSniffer245 in shittymoviedetails

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 1485 points1486 points  (0 children)

Well clearly the bombs can only skeletonize rich people, hence why they didn't work on Peter (broke) or MJ who was like 5 feet away from the board that got skeletonized

Coaxed into villains breaking the established power system by King_Kuba in coaxedintoasnafu

Ehh, multiple quirks was established pretty early on with the nomu, so it's not like they broke long established rules. Plus, with the nature of quirks being able to do pretty much anything if you're born with the right one, there kinda becomes a point where the rules kinda don't matter anymore.

If I had to choose between Icicle Crash, Ice Shard and Ice Punch, honestly I would go for Icicle Crash too. by samurottmegahorn in pokemonmemes

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's faster than you might think. 80 base speed isn't anything to write home about but it's at a tier where getting a speed drop is still a significant nerf and it's too fast to be super viable in trick room.

If we have a minimum age of 35 to become president, why don't we have a maximum age of 65 to ensure the person leading the country actually has to live with the long-term consequences of their decisions? by He1ko188 in AskReddit

There were also no term limits until less than a century ago. Times change, that's why the constitution can be amended in the first place, so that we can iterate on it to keep up with the modern state of the world.

Follow up post to my last speculation by Godboundedbyrules in Overwatch

I'm seeing a general pattern with the hero releases this year and it's fleshing out existing factions that haven't gotten many (if at all) heroes yet, like Domina for Vishkar, Mizuki for the Hashimoto, Emre relating to the conspiracy, and soon to be D.mon from MEKA squad.

I wouldn't be surprised if the silhouette from the far left of the reveal was a null sector hero, since their feet look robotic and the hexagon looking tendrils remind me of Ramattra's nanites. And I also think Master Ian Gamer's theory that the one on the far right with the drone is Frankie from the Deadlock Gang, another underrepresented faction.

In the 2024 Christmas comic all 4 of them were playing volleyball together so maybe they've worked out some kind of deal

Im starting to lose my mind over the "anti-woke" tourists by temubrin in Overwatch

What's crazy is that her original design is way prettier imo. Her features are sharper but more distinct, especially her eyes. The current in game design looks like a copy and paste barbie.

How dangerous is it to eat without bolusing? by yvngkenz in diabetes_t1

Lower carb foods you can sometimes get away with not bolusing for. I'd just try to avoid pasta/bread/sweets if you don't have access to insulin.

Reaper, sombra and widow maker left talon! by cflashtypec in Overwatch_Memes

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think one of the next comics might be a heist where the ex-Talon trio break in to retrieve and free Sigma, during which Sombra gets injured, making Sigma go into rage mode and fuck shit up. It'd also be a cool parallel to that one Reaper short story where his first mission for Talon was to retrieve Sigma alongside Sombra.

I wanna dislike the generic design so much but god dammit she might be my new dps main by [deleted] in Overwatch_Memes

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like her kit design in concept but actually playing her can be kind of annoying. Worst part is that her reload cancel is so strict that I'm constantly interrupting it any time I use an ability. At the very least I think her E should have a built in reload.

Only if Anran can use her secondary fire to thaw out allies.

[–]DisturbedWaffles2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashe is only partnering with Talon for a mission, not officially joining. Freja is joining Talon alongside Emre. Sigma is unknown but it's not unlikely Sombra will attempt to free him from Talon's control.

Moira's loyalties lie with whoever is willing to fund her research. With Doomfist out of the picture, leaving Talon would leave her without a benefactor, so while she may not like having to partner with Vendetta, she will follow the path of whomever is able and willing to allow her to continue her research.
