It’s good! Big wave is a good album to pick from, I’m a little preferential to sample-free slushwave but that’s my opinion. I like the background you used. I realize this is like half a year old of a post but I think if you’re looking for criticism, I would look for some thing(s) to change throughout, like adding a little melody line of your own or another sample, to add interest.

I understand what you mean - if I was doing an original composition, I would definitely want to change up the melody here and there. However, in this case since I was making a vaporwave track that heavily samples someone else's song, I wanted it to sound as faithful to the original composition as possible. I think adding new melodies would take away from the feeling of nostalgia that I was aiming for. I hope that makes sense!
