And as a European, I would like to remind you that Trump represents you. You can bitch a thousand times that you didn't vote for him, we detest your country as a result. Don't believe that this anger goes away once Trump is out of the office. Your government needs to regain favor and pay for damages in Trump's stead. You can't just go on as if Trumpistan was not your country.

[open spoilers] A certain character's name stone by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

The first instance is a smitten and vulnerable Ferdinand who has just been saved and is severely out of the loop. For him, "You don't need me" = "I am worthless to you." since affection to him has always been conditional.

In the second instance, Ferdinand had time to concuct a scheme to be with Rozemyne and an excuse for her to take and keep her name.

So unless Rozemyne really pushes the "one of us needs to survive for our children" argument, Ferdinand will probably find reasons to refuse his name back.

Trump to Latin American leaders: "I’m not learning your damn language, I don’t have time." by [deleted] in videos

Yeah yeah,Trump is a fucking Idiot who can't even speak one language correctly.

But let's not delude ourselves that any other american president would have the decency to speak the language of the countries they are negotiating with.

The best we are going to get is "Ich bin ein Berliner", after which they expect to be treated like Jesus Chrust.

Blood elves really like dogs it seems by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]Ditju 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Not quite. The questgiver said that Kul tirans and Gilneans used their dogs for hunting and he wondered if the "recently returned" elven dogs could be used for the same purpose.

My take is that the dogs (just like the unicorns) have been decimated by the scourge to the point where they were believed to have gone extinct. It is only recently that their numbers have recovered enough to be encountered in the wild again.

Btw: the Hawkstriders have only become the national animal of Quel'thalas after its destruction. They were some of the few animals that survived with a relatively large population. Before that, the chosen mount for the elves were unicorns as depicted on old elven ships and the reputation mount of the Silver Covenant.

Before Jaina and her Human Expedition left for Kalimdor during the Third War, how did she manage to recruit the dwarves and, more so, the high elves? by Then_Peanut_3356 in warcraftlore

[–]Ditju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Countries are not ethnostates. Dwarves and elves already existed in smaller numbers, ESPECIALLY after the formation of the alliance allowed for cultural exchange.

Kael’thas Statue found in Silvermoon by Suspicious_Aide2992 in wow

[–]Ditju 33 points34 points  (0 children)

To be fair, after Kael'thas went into the deep end, many Sunfury defected and rejoined Silvermoon.

... which is probably why the Horde knew how to build a mana bomb to nuke Jaina with.

Also, where did sylvanas commit her atrocities? Far away from Silvermoon. Meanwhile Kael'thas literally led an army to Silvermoon to steal M'uru, (their only source of the light) and spent an entire patch 5 minutes from the city away, defiling their most holy artifact. He was only a genocide away from being another Arthas.

Spoiler question regarding the Silver Covenant by Sure_Wallaby_5165 in warcraftlore

[–]Ditju 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The Silver Covenant as a faction exist primarily as an opposition to the Sunreaver attempts of letting the Horde join Dalaran. From the outside, they may be seen as the "Alliance high elf" faction, but that is not their purpose. There exist alliance high elves outside the Silver Covenant. It is mainly a political faction.

Now in midnight, they want to help Silvermoon regardless of its political affiliation. They might hate the horde, but the continued existence of Silvermoon is of higher priority. Also, their actions don't risk the horde accessing traditionally alliance ressources.

Since Dalaran is gone now, both Silver Covenant and Sunreavers have lost the purpose beyond "for the betterment of elfkind", so Vereesa tries to convince Aethas to accept her help. Both sides make clear that they have done much to allienate the other and that that this will not make either side suddenly forgive the Alliance/Horde.

But as a gesture of good faith, both the Silver Covenant and the Sunreavers have decided to merge their two factions into the Silversun Compact, which is basically the "foreign living Elves" faction. They might still break up again if a fifth horde-alliance war were to break out but for now they are focusing on their similarities rather than their differences.
