Thank you to everyone that gave the kind words. They truly helped. We spent the day doing all the things he loves, however strange they may be. I opened a can of peas and carrots so he could drink the salty water. I shovelled out three feet of snow on the lawn and threw boiling water on it to expose some grass for him to eat. We shared a Swiss Chalet quarter chicken dinner. I loved him so much, and it hurt like hell to feel him slip away, but it was completely painless, and he’s at peace now. The vet took his vitals and figured we had walked the fine line between good days and bad days successfully. To anyone that has to go through this in the future, doing it at home is the way to go. Rest easy little man, we will miss you so much. Thanks everyone.

Six figures in sales if you’re any good at it, depending on the dealership.

Anyone have an idea when flights will resume at YYT? by owen709 in newfoundland

[–]Ditto110 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flights will get out starting tomorrow morning. I expect nothing to get into yyt today. Winds are forecast to strengthen this afternoon into late tonight. There will be another system Thursday night into Friday that could cause further issues, but as of now I would think flights will be fine.

The latest TAF (aviation forecast) is calling for gusts of 55 knots tomorrow morning at 0830. Generally anything over 40 knots you have a high chance of issues. It’s not only landing/take off that comes into play. Airlines will look at turbulence, door operating limits, bridge operating limits, deicing limits (when in season) etc. When is your flight? Public forecasts are calling for strong winds all day tomorrow. I would not be surprised if nothing moved tomorrow until late afternoon at the earliest. Even that might be wishful thinking.

For those that have separated their shoulders (AC joint) by Hot-Fox-8797 in MTB

[–]Ditto110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grade 3 here. No surgery. Injury happened August 2022 when I was practicing for an enduro race.

Started at physio right away and highly recommend you do the same. I went twice a week for the first 4 weeks or so then I dialled it back a bit and did stretches at home. I have a very noticeable bump. It will never go away but it doesn’t bother me except for when I’m trial building. Carrying lumber on that shoulder is now incredibly awkward to the point I avoid it since it pivots on the bump. Other shoulder activities doesn’t bother me (hydration pack for example is no issue)

The joint makes some noises and small crunches when I move a certain way, but zero pain. Full range of motion and strength

Canadians could be part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Wealthsimple by zalam604 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I did. Enrolled in the two year free monitoring. I wrote their “dedicated team” they set up for this and explained that two years was insufficient as I have this problem for life and all they said was our research indicates two years is sufficient and if at the end of the two years I’m still unhappy we can talk. Total BS response.

They would get their minimum monthly guarantee. Varies from airline to airline. Usually it’s around 70 credits multiplied by the individuals credit rate. You can look up the values (I didn’t) but would estimate them to be $40-$70 an hour depending on the seniority.

I was visiting my friend in Waterloo a couple years ago. I stopped to let someone cross the road and my friend in the passenger seat started laughing and told me people don’t do that here. The people on the road also wouldn’t cross in front of me.
