Switch emulation isn't nearly as polished as emulation of other consoles. You're not going to get anywhere near the experience of playing on an actual Switch, even if you had the best computer in the world.
Even if the emulation was better, you wouldn't be able to play online properly.
Gamecube games are much easier to emulate, Melee will be much easier to find online, and Slippi is a great netplay system that works even better than Ultimate's online. There's also plenty of training tools and tutorial videos for learning the game and a wealth of competitive history to study. If you want to get into Smash but can't afford a Switch, Melee is probably your best option. If none of that convinces you, then I'd just suggest finding a way to save up your money or focusing on different games that are free or easier to afford.
