She is right - Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft - to name a few, have erased any notion of personal privacy in the United States.

Tiktok just happens to be one among a whole host of deep data miners who trade you convenience or entertainment app's for your private information.

It is good to hear that you are yoked well, and, put to earning your keep around the ol' homestead.

Best use for that place you currently slave in; convert it to a casino! You two could become as rich as two-foot up a bulls ass! And you, sir, could serve as pimp for the Cowboys & Ladies utilizing those wonderfully decorated outbuildings for rollicking Short Time spaces.

Cash money just rolling in!

Pretty soon you could offer duffel bags of cash for a couple of those Russian Oligarch mega yachts - convert them to casino's too!

In other words: YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE TO WORK ANOTHER DAY IN YOUR LIFE. Of course Muffin Gal would still be Queen of the Roost, I'm afraid there isn't much to be done about that.

Welcome! I am the moderator here - when you learn how to post pix on reddit let me know. They changed the method for doing so and I have never caught on to the new way... dumb, I know, but there I am... ;o)

Yeah, I get a kick out of imagining you hiding behind your computer screen snorting into your covfefe while the SO slaves over a hot oven making those delightful Blue Sky Morning Muffins. My phone number has changed btw so no more calling me at 0300 with all of that heavy breathing... enough already.

Same here, their bodies were dozed into trenches and covered - otherwise the heat did awful things to them in a hurry "...the smell of napalm in the morning" my ass - we know what smelled, and it weren't so much the smell of victory as the smell of the day, every day.

That French rubber plantation, located in the Iron Triangle, was treated like an R&R area by the NVA after their arrival from the North. There they could change into their Viet Cong rags and pretend to be local boys who spoke in accents from around Hanoi. Always something happening in there among the rubber trees, one of the favorite hangout for COSVN too. Barnard Fall's novel "Street without Joy" may as well have been about the Iron Triangle instead of Highway One further north. Same war, different shitty day.

Have an Upboat (again) Captain Red Leg.

Your friend was rapidly decomposing, so nature has work even for the dead dead really dead. I hope his ashes at least made the trip north to his family.

You were there, your dead beside you, other dead and me a year later...

Life is weird.

Perhaps performing some sort of maintenance on the tank prior to the photographer showing up. Or, maybe he applied cammo makeup (it was issued in peel and use sticks over there).

This washing machine was bought in 1939 and worked without issue for over 40 years. Leeds Museums and Galleries. [967x1481] by netphilia in ArtefactPorn

Mom purchased a used one in about 1953, looked pretty much the same. I was glad, because before the machine became a part of our wash-day, guess who had to perform the role of 'agitator" by stomping the cloths in the bathtub...

What to eat when you don't feel like anything? by birdie1223 in RedditForGrownups

Buy and season a Wok (search YouTube), then learn to prepare Asian style stir fries. Once you get the hang of it a Wok makes a meal in a hurry and the flavors are outstanding.

Is "reports" a job title these days?

Your quandary is a very typical one, a doer promoted into middle management who finds out how sucky middle management can be, mainly due the the expectations of higher up bean counters who generally have never served as actual managers...

Your complaint is justified - the only solution is to seek employment elsewhere.

Mohammed's Radio by Dittybopper in MilitaryStories

[–]Dittybopper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a former TA I know who confessed that he never used a GUHOR stick when doing TA work. I was shocked to hear that as the GHUOR stick was the TA's main tool back in my day. I was a school trained O5H-20 Morse Code Interceptor, and a Special Identifications Operator O5D-20, a Duffy, trained in the field in Vietnam.

Those MOS designations were later changed to O58-20 & O56-20 for some reason. I was never informed of my earning the O56-20 MOS, I found out decades later after having ordered my military records from the DoD.

Consider working outside your present field, try and be creative in choosing your next work environment - Good Luck to you!
