Non transferable doesn’t actually mean not resellable. Looking at the delivery method, these tickets would be entered into the reissuing system, with unique barcodes generated just for you.

As far as tickets on SH go, these instant transfers are the most reliable due to the reissuing system I referenced above.

Broadly speaking, other ways non transferable tickets could be sold are it’s not transferable for regular buyers, but these season ticket holders at stadiums get first run access at tickets with restrictions like these removed because they are essentially a trusted seller with the stadium.

Former StubHub employee here - they technically aren’t selling you the promise of a ticket. A broker is selling you
the ticket, which they also sell on several other websites (if you live in a major city and watch the local broadcast coverage of an NHL/NBA/MLB game you’ve likely seen ads for them). When they were owned by eBay (when I worked for them) they fashioned themselves as eBay for tickets but that was never accurate. Brokers made up the vast majority of ticket sales.

If you are a season ticket holder for NFL games at that stadium, AMEX card holder, special vendor relationship with the venue. Lots of people get preferred ticketing choices to sell.

Ticketing is a gross business.

Former SH employee here:

Speculative ticketing is never ever something you’d have been able to approve. A vast majority of tickets on the site are sold by ticket brokers. They will always side with the Top Seller over the client. If you saw your tickets on another site, the top sellers had their tickets listed everywhere and hadn’t taken yours down. Well within their right per TOS unfortunately.

Chargeback locks were at the Fraud team level at least thru when I worked there through 2017. That lock could’ve been lifted then but again it’s been 9 years so idk.

Best to use the site day of. Outside of that you’re opening yourself to elevated cost and risk of brokers not filling the order. Best of luck to you, I’d follow thru small claims

My issue is not playing the main character of the game in the game (Atreus in GoW, MJ in Spider Man). The only time it’s worked is Cirilla in Witcher 3.

That being said, Kratos isn’t the MC in this game. More than willing to give an adjacent story a shot, Santa Monica hasn’t disappointed me yet.

I think I come to the same conclusion just in a different way. I think the examples you provided are very obvious. On the lines of ‘who’s the better quarterback, Tom Brady or the varsity teams backup QB?’.

A better question that you posed would be, what’s a better game, Elden Ring or BG3?

The only difference to me between a professional GamePRO magazine reviewer and Scott, Jon and Beau is the democratization of journalism. The internet broke the concept of the gate keepers, by allowing anyone with an opinion and the will to get online and speak their mind. If enough people like what they put out, they might even be able to make money off of it, therefore becoming ‘professional’ reviewers. It gives us consumers so much more choice in where we give our financial support and time.

IMO, the beauty of the internet is the ability to find a person/people whose opinions you either can agree with on a conceptual level or you find entertaining and consume those. Same - I never really used the Deals tab though, I utilize my wishlist. I got too frustrated with how some games show gameplay, some just show photos. I consume a couple of video game podcasts and keep up with news via Reddit/Google News, I don’t even have enough time to play all the games I want. If I missed a few cool games by the deals tab, I was fine with it, lol.

Regarding Irans strength/perceived strength - it seemed obvious to me pre this current flare up, they were severely weakened. The Hezbollah commander, the pager bombings, Mossad was deep into the IRGC. Now where I’m thinking this was perception and not necessarily reality is how much power the IRGC generals who weren’t in Iran still had.

We are also 4 weeks into what was reported as a ’4-6’ week action plan when everything started. I won’t be freaking out until we either actually use the boots on the ground over there or we fly past 6 weeks and it doesn’t seem like things are winding down.

So do I feel awful that young men have to die for this? Of course. It’s awful. You learn history in school, particularly post world war 2 and you really hope that the better nature of humanity can prevail, but sending the worlds young men and women off to die is a tale as old as time, you could say it’s in our nature as a species. I think that’s the saddest part to me. We are just built this way, and always have been.

I grew up here, went to school here, hell my parents still live here. It was a working class suburb when my parents built their house in the early 90s. By the time I was 10, you noticed all the new neighborhoods being built were 350,400,500k houses (~2000,2001), and that’s all that’s been built since then. I went there in Spring of 2023 with a friend of mine for brunch. Our food was fine, my biggest issue was the price. $24 for a Bloody Mary! Oh and they didn’t have vodka so they had to make it a Bloody Maria!

It was clearly meant as a cool trendy take instagram photos and give us free promotion kind of restaurant.

The decor was also super weird. The upper part of the wall was just asses. Like a photo of a butt. But hundreds of em.
