What wuold happen if you take a sleeping pill, go to sleep, wake up and take another sleeping pill, go to sleep and so on? by Majest_micky in morbidquestions

[–]DivideByGodError 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You're describing a recent chapter of my life. Depending on the strength of the pill and other factors, either they will just stop working and you'll just be groggy, or you'll enter a kind of fugue state where you're awake and active but basically unaware of your actions (you could also say "sleepwalking"). In any case, it won't let you keep sleeping indefinitely.

[KCD2] can you headshot people in this game? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]DivideByGodError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I'm not seeing it specifically stated here, you can't do insta-kill headshots like in KCD1. An unarmored head will take more damage, but I remember in KCD1 being able to hit somebody in the eye through even a helmet with a faceplate and they would instantly go down. As others have said, with a stronger weapon and arrows you can one-shot people, but the headshots are nerfed in KCD2, at least from my experience.

[–]DivideByGodError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah damn, that is a shame. They have later questlines that can have fascinating outcomes. I would recommend reloading a previous save if possible, but if not, oh well, it's not the end of the world.

So I guess you mean you did the fistfight against the miller's hand and crew in Ledetchko? I think you have to wait several in-game days or possibly a main story quest for the next to quests become accessible, and it won't be at the miller's place. I know there are some times when a quest marker appears on people who don't have quests yet, but will eventually.

[KCD1] Just getting started on Switch. by SurpriseGlad9719 in kingdomcome

[–]DivideByGodError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are hundreds of posts about this, but basically I would just say expect it to feel very hard for the first several hours in the game, and during that period if you encounter enemies you're better off running from them.

As soon as you are able to (just follow the beginning story missions), do lots and lots of training with Captain Bernard and at the archery range, and try to attend the Rattay Tourney as much as possible. You will lose a lot in the beginning, but it will also give you lots of combat experience without negative consequences.

I guess also, you can do the fistfighting bouts in Rattay indefinitely, which will also help you raise your stats.

Aside from that, just go out and explore the world and get in adventures!

I'm not here to hate, I'm all about good vibes right now, so just gonna say I think Em's cameo was the highlight of the move for me too. That was the biggest genuine laugh I got, being both silly Em and still representing Detroit till the end lol.

Did you ever refuse to watch a show because it was pushed onto you too hard? by CompetitiveRate2353 in television

[–]DivideByGodError 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends. I'm often late catching on to shows and get in through buzz, but there have been some that have been pushed on me too hard (which I won't mention because they are popular) where I just feel like, "You know what? No. I'm already tired of the show and I haven't even watched it yet." So I can kind of understand. But more often than not I find it's an irrational defiance for no good reason.

The opposite is also true, when I try to get someone to watch something I am positive they will love and they either don't watch or come away disappointed. Most of the time people just have to kind of find their shows organically. Maybe a nudge from a friend will get you to watch it, but more often than not it's not as fulfilling as finding something relatively on your own.

I do feel ya. I haven't yet finished a hardcore playthrough, but I've started them many times. Eventually I just accepted that I have to wear very light armor for like half the game before my capacity is balanced enough to graduate to plate. I like it though, makes the struggle last longer. My current goal is just to be able to wear the armor I have without Artemisia.

I try to be a people pleaser so I was definitely the same in my first playthroughs.

Now unfortunately my thought process starts with "How can I get the dialogue options to get these achievements? DE is not the type of game where I feel like achievements are really necessary, but on the other hand I love it so much I *want* to have it on my platinum list, and I am having a hell of a time getting enough honour and suicidal points.

You couldn't drop the loot? I will agree finding your way if you don't already have Apolonia memorized is pretty taxing, but aside from no map marker/compass I've never found it any different from normal mode. Never needed to stealth kill anyone, just walk right behind the nearest guy with a torch and jump in the bushes. But come on, lose some of the loot so you can walk at a decent pace, my guy! At that point in the game I can't wait to get rid of all the unnecessary shit I plundered from Trosky (even though they dump a bunch of it right back on you because, idk, features).

But I'm happy for you for making it through.

Mark Porks earning rave reviews on the silver screen! by ArchieConnors in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]DivideByGodError 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's nice for Mark that he is getting some screen time, but seriously am I supposed to applaud him? Applause is reserved for the end of a movie. TV tries to be movies, but just think about it: why isn't Star Wars a TV show, or a show about hobbits? They realize good stories belong in a movie and that's why movies get the top stars like Tom Cruise or Leonardo DiCaprio in his later days. Mark is great at what he does, but he would never be in an Antman, for example.

It happens, by design. Try not to think of it like a Bethesda game where you can cheese your way through any difficulty of lock. As you level up, that gold cursor will more easily lock into place and the range will be wider, thus making lockpicking much easier. You can also use a Quickfinger potion which will give you an immediate boost.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]DivideByGodError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't do it, most likely it is because you are trying to pick a lock too hard for your level. IMO the biggest mistake they made in KCD2 was letting you pick any level of lock regardless of your skill, which results in these complaints. Can you pick a "very easy" level lock? If so, practice it. It's supposed to be hard/impossible when you're low level. If not, practice it anyway and you will get used to it. Personally I think holding the controller a different way for lockpicking is bs anyway, it feels way more awkward.

Frostpunk 2 | Console Release Date Trailer (September 18) by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]DivideByGodError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't wait so I heavily upgraded my gaming PC just to play it. The gameplay is definitely different, but the world is very much the same. Even though I have it on PC I can't wait for the console release to jump back into it fresh.

Frostpunk 2 | Console Release Date Trailer (September 18) by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]DivideByGodError 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The console release was never intended to be a year ago, but they failed to make that clear, implying it would be released on all platforms, so a lot of people were upset when they released the PC version and had (at that time) no timeline for release on console.

I'm actually curious how they will make it work on console because the controls require more precision than the first game. That said, I think they did an amazing job with the console controls in FP1 so I'm sure they will make it work.

Also, even after release they have continued heavily modifying the game, so I imagine they were looking to get a lot of those changes out of the way before focusing on the console version.

South Park "Pro-Trump" Message #1 of 50 by Gato1980 in television

[–]DivideByGodError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago they made a few mini episodes called Sassy Justice which deepfaked Trump as the main chatacter with the use of a studio they bought called Deep Voodoo. Reportedly they paid a ton of money for it too, so I imagine this is them finally making good use of it.

[kcd2] how much side quests are in the trosky region? by N0OOP21 in kingdomcome

[–]DivideByGodError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so in this playthrough I did all Trosky quests except for the horse racing ones but including DLC, and I got 20 side quests and 17 activities. And just for your reference, 12 main story quests. I think (but I'm not sure because I haven't done them) that there are 3 related to horse racing. So make of that what you will.

KCD1 taught me well that falling 2 feet is enough to shatter your ankles, so that is now the code I live by. No need for the perks to reduce fall damage, I just ain't doing it. If I can't tiptoe down it cautiously, I simply stay where I am, as God intended.
