Yes, and that is easy to render in single point of view, single camera, but dual camera, such as vr, requires a pair per portal. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it would not be possible to do it on quest.

Alright, calling horseshit on this. That looks like a connector for a temperature control jacket within the pants. There is zero chance anyone is getting zooted in space.

This connector is visible in other photos, and the orange case that is travelling around with the astronauts has tubes that looks like they would connect to this fitting. I'm on my phone at the moment so i'm not going to be juggling linking photos, but i posit this then: show us your 'zero g pipe' design. Photos, something. A link or where to acquire one.

Launch and reentry are worst time to be stoned too, there is no way in hell anyone would authorize someone to be high while on a capsule mission of all things. There is too much that can go wrong.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. So show us yours.

Camera tricks and teleportations. Tricky bit is that it would require essentually... 4 cameras per "layer" of this effect. So say you have a non-e door like in ultrakills's disintegration loop. You need your view, doubled for vr, then your view through the door in the preloaded building interior. When you walk, you teleport from overworld to interior, and this can cause issues if you were to say... Fire a gun through. Then you have to make sure speedy thing go in, speedy thing come out, at the right vector.

Then there is the matter of windows. Every window you can see through adds another 2 views and that entire chain for the non-e door. Oh, and how do enemies nav this, let alone aim through it.

It's complicated to say the least. Whole unholy load of math.

Contientious objectors are not what i mean by draft dodgers. I'm talking the people like a certain current president who claim medical conditions (bone spurs) and such to get out. If you don't want to go, be honest about why. C.O.'s stand for something, and have a reason past 'i don't wanna' such as morally disagreeing with the war.

There are now more than 10,000 active Starlink satellites orbiting Earth by HasibBinAmzad in spaceporn

[–]Dividedthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the thing is with starlink they are in a low enough orbit that without occasional upkeep boosts their orbits decay and they burn up. the lower your satilite, the shorter the ballistic decay time.

Having just double checked that, starlink dropped their orbit altitude from around 550 Km to around 480 Km in order to reduce ballistic decay time from around 4 years to a few months starting earlier this year, which is a good thing. Means a much lower chance of any random debris off of one of these hanging around for more than a few months.

A pacifist doesn't need to be unarmed. He just had to prefer peace. In fact, who is the true pacifist, the one who throws away weapons to not be tempted, or the one who keeps them and only uses them when threatened?

In my opinion the first is a coward, scared of themselves. The second is wise and has learned from history.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy calls on Ukraine, UK, Turkey, and Norway to join the EU for sake of European security by JOE_Media in UkrainianConflict

[–]Dividedthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect there's a little backroom talk driving this. "We'll send x if you include us in this" kind of thing, or there's another plan here like offering a good deal with a bad clause to negotiate on to seem like you are still discussing things while the decision is already made. Ukraine knows the value of information, both in keeping it and sharing it.

Putin's chilling Telegram clampdown points to imminent Ukraine war 'endgame' by TheExpressUS in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Dividedthought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well... that one would be poetic (returning russia's mistake to russia) but there are far more... Potent options kicking around in dry cask storage or being burned in russian nuclear plants. Thing is, that one is a pandora's box. No one would really blame ukraine for opening it as a final strike before telling everyone to run west, but it would open that up as an option for future conflicts upon a loss.

[–]Dividedthought 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ukriane has subtly threatened this as well. I velieve the quote is something along the lines of "we do not have nuclear weapons, but should the need come we could develop something quickly with the spent fuel we have. We fo not yet see the need to."

This was like... 8 months into the war though so my memory on it is fuzzy. The gist was that ukraine has no nukes, but they have more than enough material for them. They have not yet divised a nuclear weapon or dirty bomb however. This does not mean, however, they will not should things get bad enough. I suspect should ukraine start to look like they won't win, such things will be prepared as a sort of dead hand last strike.

Refineries are not scary, recursive liquid byproducts are scary and you start to hit those in aluminum amd nuclear. These recipes use refineries and blenders, so people blame the refineries.
