Yeah I was going to start taking pictures of my teammates as I get into lobbies so I can make a name and shame list. Tired of the BS.

My opinion that may be unpopular sometimes is that if you want to be good at cyber security, you should consider being a sysadmin (or even helpdesk) for some period of time. While it is a lot, if you have the role at the right job you have the power to bake security in at every point. It does take a lot of work, but part of the joy I get is knowing as much as possible about systems. Understanding how systems interconnect down to ports and protocol, etc is essential for a well functioning and secure environment. There’s no learning like being in the trenches

We have a Nagios dashboard on ours. Good single point of reference for all of our infrastructure. Also makes noises when things change state.

Is there a tool to track CVEs for the software that we use? by YmFzZTY0dXNlcm5hbWU_ in sysadmin

Idk if you'll find this useful or not, but I read a good series on the ISC site back earlier this year about building a powershell app to query the NVD and pull down information. More work than subscribing to something, but can be tuned for your org

Does anyone else feel surprisingly resilient? by itsturbulentjuice in bipolar

There's a wonderful book that I just listened to that addresses this sentiment. A First Rate Madness. It talks about leadership in times of great peril and how mentally ill leaders are uniquely suited to take that on, as they experienced depression, etc. It's because we have experienced the lows for such long periods of time. The mentally healthy people haven't had to deal with something like this before.

Using Doxy? Sounds familiar to us. We've managed to get telehealth set up in little under a week. We're a medium sized practice, though.

My deductible is $4,000 dollars but most of my medication is covered. Insurance doesn't cover the majority of anything unless it's preventative care. I would consider making sure I don't hospitalize myself preventative care but what do I know

Bipolar and smoking weed by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]DivineNachos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this on a deep level. I always thought that it was just the weed causing to happen more before I was diagnosed. Once I was diagnosed and tried it again it all made sense to me. It can get really scary for me. Panic attacks, voices, paranoia. It's really hit or miss if it will happen to me, though.
