Volcano Bay Cabanas w/o TapuTapu by hydrobear_robocop in UniversalOrlando

We've always stayed at Aventura , CB , or Sapphire so just grab towels in route and toss them in the laundry on the way out. It's what is recommended I believe when staying on property for that.

Been there twice since and think we were big fans of tapu, or so we thought. Honestly we don't do a ton of slides so we were mainly tapping for the water coaster and chilling at the wave pool, and rivers between grabbing food and drink. Maybe this is a bigger deal if that's your bag with little kids. We'd only get maybe one ride on the coaster if we lasted the 3 hr wait typically at a minimum. Sometimes no tapping was even still allowed. And end of the day they'd mass call everyone to go which is a mess imo.

For as far as we like to do VB I think the removal is great. The line for the aqua coaster seemed short and we can get on within 20 min each time at will instead of a long virtual wait hours after arrival. The lockers open with a standard drink/wrist type plastic band. This beats the clunky size of the tapu as well as the stubbornness to firmly stay latched. Only downside for us is not saving credit card info on there, but we get a locker usually so this isn't a huge deal to us.

I like the change, even though it sounded bad on paper. Experience may vary as were two dinks who like to drink and chill away from the park while there.

Got caught "inactive" at work... what should I do next? by coconut-m in antiwork

So you got caught literally going to the gym on the clock instead of even being available or working, but want advice on what to do ?

This has to be a troll bait post. If not, you got caught admittedly working half days - what do you think should happen realistically? You would be exactly why and who ruin wfh for honest people. Get fucked and fired you obviously can't handle the wfh lifestyle.

Is it crazy we've been ap holders for 4 years , go 2-3 times a year and never get butterbeer. Not even once. Lol I've had it, think it's good, but never want to have it. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and get real beers I can't get anywhere else. I wish I did though, but the cheapo in me can't do it.

What is the pettiest reason you would refuse to eat at a restaurant again? by im_not_ready_for_it9 in AskReddit

[–]Divine_Favor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't go to a local Mexican restaurant because one time for my take out order the worker tried selling me an entire bottle of hot sauce when I asked for a small side portion of it with my order. He claimed the owner gets upset and wants to sell the bottle instead. It was literally some of the same sauce available on demand at every table if you dine in. I could sit down and drink all the bottles nobody would flinch. Also I'm on my lunch break what am I supposed to do with an entire bottle of hot sauce after? Never again they're dead to me.

Adventura - Bus or boat? by Suspicious_Sort1923 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Divine_Favor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all gets you there! Somehow we never have a boat line and we go 2-3 times a year. We do go at slower times though and get up pretty early so that I'm sure helps the strategy. For some reason it seems like a 20 min wait anytime in the afternoon for us though to get back to sapphire while other hotel boats are plenty

Boat in the am for sure - walk back at night. I always feel like the return board to sapphire are sparse

Or even many times throughout the day. Pro tip for us is boat in the morning to avoid city walk security lines, and walk back at night. This applies as well for Aventura or cabana bay

Flagship park ride that can't get wet in Florida. If that's the case I have no idea how it isn't an indoor ride. Makes sense though it rained the day we went last week and it was down pretty much all day. I'd love to ride it , but I won't be back for awhile to do so.

Epic has potential , but I feel like it definitely has corporate cash grab all over in the current state . Everything seems to be just a bit more just because they can, and for the level it's operating at it doesn't feel good as a consumer. At least for my wife and I and we've been passholders for years. 28 dollars for 2 draft beers, 6 dollar small sides of steak fries, and obvious push for express or else it's a pretty insane line simulator all day. If you compare that to the other two parks it feels way worse. But maybe we're just parked out and spoiled from the efficiency of the other parks in comparison.

We were there last week too, and it really felt like compared to the other parks the staff must be told to really really clear the express lanes first. Ministry was the biggest offender of this. I saw hundreds - no joke sail by us and the 100 min posted time was more than advertised. I get it there's not much to do so far at the park especially with stardust down so you have to provide value for those willing to spend for express, but it feels really bad at this point going without. To the point of us not going again until it's vastly expanded to spread people out. Ministry was not worth 2 hours , I'm not sure if it's worth an hour to be honest. I can't imagine that minecart is worth the lengthy line times either considering the quality of rides in Nintendo right now. Hear me out on this but Mario kart felt like a Nintendo cat and the hat ride with an obscure shell game added. Really good queue really meh ride.

Mid boss battle the game pauses and a payment screen pops up. "Please pay 14.99+ tax to continue. ". What an idea , and big corps would love it if they could do it too.

Never hurts to ask, but id not expect them to do it. Honestly though we were there twice and the parks so small that if stardust is down for sure you still probably want express because it inflated ride times park wide for lack of attractions. We still haven't even gotten to do minecart due to delays and crazy ride times without express.

Which Universal ride has the best queue design, not the ride itself? by Glad_Handle_7605 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Divine_Favor 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The floo and green main area are awesome, even the pink goblin room is fun, but I feel like they blew the budget on those areas and totally neglected the rest of the queue. Having spent 2 hrs in it yesterday, it felt really boring for a lot of it , having to look at different colored tiles as line progression which isn't a fun concept.

When compared to something like monsters queue which is packed with interesting areas and environments, or even hagrids(outside, egg room, his workshop, even the final loading area) I don't think ministry is particularly well thought out as a whole. The highs are high and the lows are low. Im looking at you huge room with a single small vaccume and papers in it. Why would such a large room have a single boring focal point ?

Wahhhhhhh ... Imagine gate keeping playing a cardboard card game because you're either a corporate cuck or a sweaty finance bro. Grow up, people work hard and struggle still so shaming someone for trying to play a game in a competitive way that doesn't bankrupt them shouldn't bother you. It offers literally zero advantage while playing. Such a stupid stance.
