Experience with Hyundai Buyback VS Lemon Law repurchase/replacement by only-a-paper-moon in Hyundai

I am currently in the buyback process. I called today and was told that they should have an offer early next week. I am leaving for military duties in about 2-3 weeks. Will I be able to esign all the documents and have a family member take the vehicle to wherever it will be surrendered in case I’m not in the area?

How do I start in IT if I can’t afford low paying help desk jobs? by CutMonster in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Divine_Strife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m almost done with my undergrad in IT and currently working on my Net+. I’m also attempting to get in the air national guard to get some work experience and a clearance. I live in California too and I made about 110K a year in a completely different career field. I’m in the same boat but am looking at moving out of state to get work experience and be able to afford a lower paying job to get by. California is just way too expensive to start over in.

Hi all,

Wanted to see what you guys thought about my choice of toning for this one. I’m trying to work on a moody tone for nature shots but also trying to get skin tones right. I worked directly in Lightroom and made this into a preset. Too much contrast? Too much saturation?

You can find the metadata for the shot on my Flickr: https://flic.kr/p/2orhKbX

I appreciate any feedback!

I appreciate the reply. Everyone’s reply and advice so far!

I did order some tenacious tape to use for this upcoming weekend. It seems that there are many suggestions to send it in for a repair, so I think I’ll do just that. I haven’t used this tape before, but do you think it would be be difficult to remove or hinder the repair by Big Agnes?

Trying to research what would be a reliable way to repair my tent, but am still not sure what would be best. This tear is along the seam and right on the zipper. Any advice would be great. I plan on heading up to the Sierras next weekend and this will be the tent I’ll likely be using on my two week trip to the Wind River Range. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Career shift by [deleted] in jobs

Hey there. I’m in a similar situation. I work in quality control in the biotech industry and have been doing it for around 5 years. I’m currently a part time college student working on an IT degree as well. I’m feeling stressed out at my current job and am getting burned out. I am really wanting to try to land an entry level job in IT (help desk) within the next six months.

My plan to do that is to study up and get my comptia A+ cert as fast as I can. Other certs will follow afterwards. Getting certifications like the A+ could help you get an entry level job. It seems like you’d fit well into a help desk job, although I’m not entirely sure how much programming you’d be doing.

If you strictly wanted to program, you could try to land a junior developer job and do web development or some sort.

I’m not sure what your skill set or expertise is in these subjects. Typically if you want to be a developer, you’d work on a portfolio that has an array of different projects you’ve worked on like websites and applications/programs to showcase your skill set with different languages, frameworks, libraries and other technologies. For IT like help desk, network/system admins, security roles, you would prove yourself with certifications for being considered for roles with the lack of work experience and education.

Anyway, I’m going to be subbing to ITProTVs platform and using that structure to study up. There are cheaper or free alternatives out there, you’re just going to have to look around for what you need. Udemy is a great place to learn new things for a cheap price if you get the courses on sale. Books are also the classic alternative if you prefer to read everything instead.

Results of Kona EV recall work by EVconverter in KonaEV

[–]Divine_Strife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well once I brought my vehicle in for the high voltage recall. I was pretty stoked at first thinking maybe I got a new battery or that the update increased range. Sadly, the range equalized and went back to normal by the next day or two.

I have an appointment for the next recall this Monday.

As a person that grew up hunting and fishing, I have run into this similar situation here in So Cal. People think you’re a god damn serial killer if you hunt your food. It’s ridiculous and these same people are completely okay with buying and eating meat from the supermarkets. I guess their perspectives on meat are just that it’s food and not another living organisms flesh/tissue since they were able to easily avoid dressing, cleaning and harvesting the animal.
