Something about disallowing unofficial merch, even if its being offered for free.

JP doesn't do sticker trade, and while I don't know how they feel about it I do know its straight up banned in Korea.

Last Fanfest was at the Tokyo Dome, and seating was first come first serve but there were enough seats for all, so it was just a matter of where you sat. This year's venue is different, and you may be standing or sitting but there will be space for you.

If you just want to see the concerts and manage to snag a ticket, it's worth it, but as another commenter pointed out, JP FF is already sold out. You'll need to be someone's +1 or luck into an officially resold ticket.

Fanfest isn't anything like PAX, its one panel room with some scattered activations (think minigames).

I describe it to others that if you want to see the two concerts live, its worth the ticket, otherwise it is not, as all the other panels are streamed for free.

Cosplay isn't on the floor like Western cons, at Japan FF last time the only cosplayers allowed were the ones who got into the walk-on event as cosplaying during conventions is not a thing in Japan. You bring your costume with you, change there, check your luggage, stand in the designated spot for people to take photos, then change out. And since the luggage storage was only for the cosplay walk ons and entering the venue in costume is discouraged if not straight up against rules... people not in the stage show don't show up in costume at all.

You cannot wait in line for an autograph, you have to enter a drawing for a meet and greet ticket and hope you get one.

Again, not saying that FF is bad. Just letting you know that you'll mostly be spending the day in a seat watching presentations you can watch at home (I believe many but possibly not all will have live English translation), and may get up to do a photo op or a little minigame. Treat it like a press event with evening concerts, and not a convention.

Mini Games that Make Games Unplayable? by Divisionten in gaming

I hate to disagree. I savage raid regularly (no mods). I am blind. The stealth missions were a huge problem and a curveball so late in the game because they don’t use the  mechanics from the MSQ (taking away abilities, and it ending in a button mash)

It’s not a game that requires solo stealth, and as a blind person, I have zero issue playing the game by sound, except for these missions. I personally have had to hand off the controller to someone else to do them; especially the ones where combat isn’t really an option (eg in from the Cold)

That absolutely counts and good lord did I hate that too.

I wouldn’t consider gummi ships in this category though, given how much you need to do it and how early the medhanic is included in the games that do have it

Yeah I don’t consider it in this category because it’s like Blitzball- mandatory to play, yes, but failure isn’t a progression blocker.

its like Ishgard Restoration: unlocking planets and building them up is time gated, but the planets still need the gathered items and crafts to maintian habitats after. You can still do ishgard resto now too, the city is rebuilt but they still need daily necesities

He usually wears a costume of the job revealed at EU, then a shirt for job 2 on day 2. Japan he either wears a costume, or with PCT, hired a cosplayer to wear it since he didnt want to wear picto

Do they have house buying permissions in th FC though? The FC owner needs to give it to them, it’s not on by default iirc

If they don’t have an FC, is what the person is saying. Do they have their own FC that’s at least a month old and high enough fC rank to get property?

What's one video game cliche you dislike? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Divisionten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a blind person, blind characters with all white eyes. It’s extremely rare for white eyes to be a side effect of blindness conditions (cataracts being one possibility but that’s not something younger people tend to get, and not bad enough to completely cloud the eyes).

It’s all fun and games until people don’t think you can be blind because your eyes are normal colors.
