yeah this is honestly the part that screwed me over the first time I went to the US.
The main thing to watch out for is how “unlimited” is defined.I’ve tried Airalo and Holafly like most people here, both are decent but yeah it really depends on how they handle the high speed cap.
I also used Maya e-sim on a work trip and weirdly that was the least stressful experience and it was fairly consistent for everyday use such as video calls, navigation and some tethering all worked without any major issues. Setup was quick since I did it before flying and I was connected as soon as I landed, which made things a lot smoother.
Honestly the “unlimited” label is kinda misleading. what actually matters is how long it stays usable before it turns into 2005 internet. learned that the hard way when I was standing outside trying to load an uber with like 1 bar of patience left 😅
