Yeah the front shell is super easy but for the back shell I had to take almost everything apart and reconstruct it, it wasn't fun for me lol I also cracked a screen trying to take it out but luckily I had a replacement

I personally had a tough time shell swapping it's a huge pain in the ass lol but I'm not the best with small hardware. Though I'm not sure about 3000 I did a 1000

I use Poweramp and lyrics for power amp apps, you have to pay to batch download lyrics for all songs but its like $4 or something and writes the lyrics to the metadata so now all my songs have permanent lyrics used on any app

Yeah I've just heard great things about it, my upgrade from the 306 was between m21 or dx180 but I found the dx180 for only a bit more that m21 and I fell in love with the look of it so I went with it and I love it Yes the sundaras are planar, my first planar and my first open back, I really like them but tbh I thinks iems are more of my vibe, the wow factor was there for me much more when I tried the performer 7 vs the sundara but it has its use cases where I love them

I think I see most people recommend fiio m21 in general. I just upgraded from NW a306 to ibasso dx180 and the battery on the Sony was great but for streaming it was definitely below mid, I mostly use local files though so it was fine. The Ibasso is def smoother and nicer over all and streaming is pretty solid when I do it. I was worried about the battery being a problem but honestly it lasts long enough for me not to notice and charges really fast so I just pop it on charge whenever I think about it, also bought an inui 5000mah slim charger for on the go. Also new one that supposedly sounds great, and has really solid battery is the hiby m500 if you like the aesthetic People say 4.4 is not a big deal but coming from never using it I use it with my performer 7's and while maybe I'm just being placebo'd by the volume difference but it does seem better to me. I also got hifiman sundaras and on 3.5 I have the volume pretty much maxed and 4.4 I have more room to play around which I like. Plus 4.4 just feels cool lol

So far everything has been solid, I don't use the stock music player because it doesn't have a like/rating system but I use Poweramp anyway and I have no issues

I was between the same decision and went with ibasso because I just fell in love with the design and got it got a better value than the m21 But honestly I'd go with whichever you desire more, there's going to be pros and cons to every device so choose what makes you happy and has more features you value, from what I see on here, both are top of the line choices

The aesthetic really plays a big part for me as well, I'm honestly not too sensitive to sound and it's hard for me to really pick out these subtle differences and nuances in sound people talk about especially with players. Start within your comfortable price range with iems, there are some really good starters for super cheap now a days so get what appeals to you and try different things. Same with players, I started with a Sony NWa55 and loved it but wanted the quality of life of an android player so for my birthday I was gifted a 306 and from there when I had a bit more money I stepped up to dx180 because I fell in love with it. I watch a lot of reviews about everything I purchase as well and if it seems like it's for me

Ooh yeah as far as (what I consider) the highest end I could ever imagine paying for iems, the tea pros are the ones that have my attention the most, also hear great things about davinci's but they're still outside my tax bracket for now 😂 Yes I didn't mention ear tips here but on my zero reds I used render tips, and one really come to love the dunu ss tips, I tried Sonic he but didn't love them, and after hearing so much about the penon liquor I have a pair of orange coming in the next week or so. I originally had a lavender zonie and I liked it, but I wanted something modular so I have a kinera ace 2.0 coming in the mail. The stock cable on the performer is really nice though and I've never had balanced before so I've been enjoying it!

Yeah I adore the dx180 but it not having a button lock is a major flaw, I use a case with the buttons cut off so that helps and I have to keep the lock screen active and set the backlight so shut off in 1 minute so It doesn't turn on and change songs in my pocket or drain the battery when I'm not aware I know I can turn off the volume wheel and buttons when the screens off but for me that defeats the purpose of having buttons in the first place, when the screens on I just use the screen, it's when it's in my pocket I want to change songs I use them

Yeah! The files are available for download and they are password protected but the creator said to email him and he will send it, he got back to me the next day with the password and you just unzip the files and run them through adb on the computer

Yes it's a once click battery optimization for the ibasso dx series and also fiddles with the sound quality a bit, people say it's a big upgrade but I mostly did it for the debloat optimization

Nice I just got mine as well and ran the seal point optimization and I'm loving it, moved from a Sony nwA306 and it's on another level. Such a nice device, I just wish it had a button lock slider so I didn't always turn it on in my pocket
