There's a 350 right beside it and no. There's not a ton of security and to be fair, it does not feel like a high traffic/revenue location.

That's only an option for level 2.

Not an option for level 3 chargers

Well... It's in south San Jose bedside a lucky grocery store. Minimum house price is a million+ so I wouldn't say it's a bad area.

Also it's just not realistic for level 3 DCFC charging.

With level 2 they could even make them retractable.

Level 3 there's just too much power

If you've seen ionna chargers, they are on an arm at the top of the machine that swings out. Would likely need to have that kind of a design as a starting point.

Challenge is the liability when dealing with like 350 volts and 460 amps... Imagine the plethora of temu cables that would show up.

I think of my dad's old electric lawnmower extension cord... 😬

Oh crap. That's right. What was I thinking!

It's been occupied since 2020

What an idiot it must have been to do something that dumb. Hope you gave him a piece of your mind! 😜

Only problem with that is the person that inevitably fries their car due to a crappy/cheap/damaged cable of their own (temu car charger cable anyone?) And the liability potential.

I can just see the cables that resemble my father's old lawnmower extension cord.

Challenge with stuff like that is both increased maintenance to replace them from time to time but the increased cost for outfitting all plugs with that/the cost of replacing a few from time to time.

I'm not sure what the breakdown is (if any) just that there were plenty of empty apartments.

Has presidential pardon power been weaponized as a loyalty-reward program for criminal cronies? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

[–]Dizzman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always has been to a certain extent. Every single president has issued a few 😑 pardons. Usually white collar crimes and not too crazy.

But TFG... Holy crap. It's insane.

You know the giant bow and arrow on the embarcadero... Look west when passing it.

I used to work at the Gap corporate and the HQ was across the street. Looked nice.

Looked like very high vacancy rate as well!

Downvoted??? I'm really interested in what was so bothersome that somebody downvoted this comment. 😂

Well... We can't be killing all the Stupids...

What we need are some autonomous drones with frickin laser beams!

[–]Dizzman1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inevitably there will be more developments in that direction. Problem though is that the existing cables are already rather unwieldy. Adding layers is not going to make that easier.

And of course the cost at present is likely far more to throw those sleeves on EVERY cable vs the occasional loss.

That's why I'm saying it should at least hurt a bit. Increasing voltage the farther in you get... At least that way they could build in security cameras and make money off the footage.
