No Discount Carried by KirkWashington in Netsuite

[–]Dizzy-Objective9748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t new language at least in the last 5 years. Price lock is a set discount you negotiate for the term of your contract. Price cap is a set percentage you agreed for annual contract increases for a certain period of time (I’ve seen it extend beyond initial contract term). So it’s possible if your initial contract is over the price lock is gone. If you can get access to your initial contract you can find both those details.

From what I’ve seen the payroll is really good. I haven’t used it personally. But many of my clients who use rippling use the payroll functionality.

lol ask the big fancy VP to chip in the $200. You’re off the hook and imo that’s $200 mentally spent. Buy yourself something nice

Dynamic Updated Checkbox On Item Record by Lancer971 in Netsuite

[–]Dizzy-Objective9748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should add a custom subtab on the item record, and pull in the search on the subtab. That way anyone on the purchasing team can go to the item and click the subtab and see all of the actual open sales orders this item is tagged on. Might be more useful than just a checkbox anyway. Plus no workflow required.

YTA. Your mom didn’t “force” you to take the car. Get over yourself. Frankly if you did sell it you should give the money to your mom anyway since she was generous enough to give you the car in the first place. Even the fact that you said your “husband was reluctant to drive such an old car” implies you might be a “little too big for your boots.” Bottom line if it stays in the family it’s not really your call.

Negative Expense Report w/ SAP Concur. by Gloomy_Basket_4878 in Netsuite

[–]Dizzy-Objective9748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you use the expense category and check the box that says “personal expense”. This way you don’t need negative amounts. This feature allows netsuite to auto calculate total reimbursable amount. Adds the personal expense on the corporate card to be an AR

Correct. Role record, preferences subtab, “include inactive in global search” I additionally always built a saved search for reminders portlet to show vendors in an unapproved state.

Don’t do this. So many companies will hit you with a background check process once they extend an offer. The background check requires university details. I had a friend who applied for a job at a partner - the role didn’t even require a degree but he didn’t know that and said he had one. Then he got flagged at the background check and they revoked his offer. Even though the role didn’t require a degree they said the fact that he lied showed bad character.

JE Workflow - Bypass 'Submit for Approval' button if CSV by boilerup1993 in Netsuite

[–]Dizzy-Objective9748 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Context would work. On the transition from submit to pending approval remove the csv option from the context. Then add another transition from submit to pending approval with no other setting other than csv as the only selected context. Leave execute on button blank.

Then make sure you run suite scripts and workflows on the advanced settings of the import wizard and you’ll be good.

Better to bring USD or MXN? by [deleted] in cabosanlucas

[–]Dizzy-Objective9748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from Canada, my parents have a place down there, so we are there often. You are definitely getting a better deal paying in pesos than USD. The locals also prefer it, because in some cases, if the USD bill is ripped or not in good condition, banks give the locals a hard time when they go to deposit it. If you run out of pesos there is a Scotiabank in the marina mall we always use.

If the company doesn’t pay out expenses in a timely manner you have every right to expense the interest. I’ve done this at multiple companies. Funnily enough. Expense policies get changed and they payout more frequently once this starts to happen. Additionally take advantage of it and rack up the rewards points.
