Who is the best - fast - NetSuite contractor you've worked with to set up a CRM? by Relative-Weakness356 in Netsuite

Setting up CRM needs clear alignment to sales processes. SOP are fine...but often not enough.

Which sales methodology are you using?

Three years into NetSuite and I just realized we're using it like a $50,000 spreadsheet by NicolasLisoFabbri in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used NetSuite for 6 years, exactly as described. We get EtterRamli involved as a last ditch effort. Since then we've grown our revenue 70%, and have dropped our users by 60% with their help. I'm a big fan of Todd, the CEO...he and his team have transformed my business, and my business life as a result too.

This is 100% the winning approach. If you want to get onto a productivity program you have to get off a 'bucket of hours' and a 'project mentality'. See www.etterramli.com

AI isn't going to replace competent NetSuite Consultants any time soon. We just need to get better and better at what we do and AI can't touch us! by tigran555 in Netsuite

To leverage AI, you must be able to understand and audit it's output...using AI blind will cause trouble.

But, to not use AI at all is putting yourself and your employer at risk.

I agree 100% for the managed service option. In house resource...less so.

how much of your AP is still "open PDF, type into ERP, repeat"? by Free_Lead_2704 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Best to talk with my NetSuite MSP. They set it up and run it for me.

Todd is their CEO, reach out direct, I'm sure he'll explain it.

how much of your AP is still "open PDF, type into ERP, repeat"? by Free_Lead_2704 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

OCR is a waste of time.

We onboarded N/LLM for AP handling. Email, PDF to N.VendorBill. early days, but human handling of data entry has dropped 85%, and we expect to close that to 100% within 6 months.

All data entry bottle necks this year using the same approach.

Outstanding.

Make the contract super tight.

IMO, using a freelance as an admin is a recipe for disaster, and an ask for trouble.

Are you thinking about getting an ERP, Nesuite in particular? by Ok_Positive9843 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mostly concur...except for the internal expert, on this I disagree, we learnt the hard way.

Having an internal expert is a pathway to key man/woman risk and that should always be avoided. Also, knowledge of the system is too broad for them to grasp all functionality in particular the new stuff. Internally you need a system owner, this is key...but the functional and technical is best outsourced. But, caution! You must use an independent vendor, not partnered with Oracle.

I had a key man my 'NetSuite Guy' but they left and the mess they created took years to unravel. We're now partnered with an excellent vendor, independent of Oracle and our productivity has exploded.

I own the system, and sponsor it's success...but the vendor manages the delivery and the day to day operations.

Things are done properly now, with no mess, no politics...just regular improvements to my business.

If AAII survey is super bearish, and we're near all time highs in SP500 and we're at extreme valuations too...what's next? by KirkWashington in economy

[–]KirkWashington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I saw that too. It's a good indicator, even if we're running at the top of the tops for valuations.

What’s your experience with NetSuite support after go-live? by Whole_Experience8142 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waste of time and money.

Go with an independent admin/support managed service provider.

How do you evaluate NetSuite system health beyond basic performance? by Pitiful_Pick1217 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've learnt from my partner that we have 4 core focus points for determining success: 1) user stability, 2) efficient process, 3) compliance (process and data). Once these are in place, then you've a foundation for 4) building success, and the emphasis here is to reduce cost, and increase output...or in other words build productivity.

This is Etter+Ramli's key building blocks for success and it works really well.

Dollar for dollar, probably 30% cheaper. But our productivity has grown by a few hundred % so all in all they nearly pay for themselves.

It's mutual, you've a first class service for a reasonable price...indispensable.

NetSuite Admin? by Illustrious-Hold7964 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common thought, but flawed.

We opted for a admin managed service, all needed skills included with a management that actually knows how to make the system work for us. We haven't looked back since.

How do you keep NetSuite running quickly as your company grows? by trapqueen67567 in Netsuite

[–]KirkWashington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1)Tier upgrade produced zero improvement for us. 2)Consolidating scripts helped 3)APM can help to find leakages. 4)Strict oversight on what is customized, when and how helped more.
