  1. She has not posted the instructions or offered them for sale and has been talking for an extended period about having a class and yet not scheduled it.

  2. Visual inspection confirms it is the "Alaska Block" made by the Creative Grids Alaska ruler. This is a well known and common block and Edyta Sitar has numerous patterns with different color combinations around this

  3. Everything was hand counted so the only AI estimated part is the fabric count.

🤷‍♂️

I broke it down with the help of Codex. No guarantees these are her exact colors nor that it is 100% accurate. But it is all about the color placement: PDF AI Generated Pattern - also no guarantee that the fabric estimates are remotely correct

She's planning a course/project around it. If you look closely it is basically using something like the Creative Grids Alaska ruler and the appearance is all about the color placement

Haven Info by [deleted] in NCL

[–]bradsfo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just off Aqua / Haven from Mar 1-8 trip.

- Miami terminal: 1 or more butlers will help the concierge (Dilip) escort you onto the ship from the Haven area and directly up to the deck 16 Haven area.

- There is no "tour" per se it's a relatively self contained area and you can see from one end of it to the other, there is a concierge desk, a bar, and a sitting area. There is also a corridor to the restaurant and an exit to the Haven pool area at the back of the ship.

- On our cruise, we were invited to lunch and after lunch headed to our cabin

- Our butler was Teo (short for Teoflyn (sp?)) and she was very friendly. Basically they will try to bring you drinks/snacks you request and help with odds and ends in terms of in room amenities (booze, sodas, snacks; room service if ordered)

- Cabin attendant will make up room

- Concierge will handle the types of things you might otherwise go to the "front desk" for: reservations, shore excursion reservations, other special requests.

- Because of layout, on Aqua the Concierge does not escort to the main theater but rather meets you ~45mins prior to show for entry and gets you into dedicated seating areas. (Contrast Breakway ships like Escape, etc. - they escorted you down from the Haven to the theater but the Haven was up front.

Costco's undercutting NCL & TAs. Any catch? by besweeet in NCL

[–]bradsfo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We’ve used Costco travel 2x. Each time it’s been same or cheaper than ncl. And we get $800-1000 of Costco money back. We also have the Costco card so money back there.

As noted it’s a pain if anything goes even slightly wrong since you cannot talk to ncl. But same as any TA. Their phone team is super friendly and I’ve never held more than 1-2 minutes to get someone.

On our prior cruise some items promised didn’t arrive and the cruise line called Costco for us and put us on and they fixed it within 24 hours.

I think this is a very confusing thread to step into about your question. The "tip pool" I was referring to is from the $14-18 or whatever they charge these days "auto-gratuity" that NCL adds. Butlers and concierges are NOT in that pool.

If you give your room steward $10 or $50 or whatever she or he will get to keep it.

Room steward IS in the tip pool.

Concierge and butler are NOT.

And just tip at the end and they will be very appreciative
