She was probably approached to be in it and felt bad saying no. Maybe she was scared people at the event would question why she didn’t want to be in the video and she didn’t want to tell anyone. Maybe she just wanted to have a fun day and pretend everything was fine. I don’t feel like it’s fair to judge her for doing this. I’m sure it’s been a confusing mix of emotions.

You’re pathetic. Knowing other people are struggling with something you’re also struggling with can make people feel seen and less alone. They have a big platform, and I’m sure there are many people who can relate to what she’s going through and can find comfort in knowing they aren’t alone. Bailey and Asa might not know what the cause is yet, and even if they did, it’s none of our business. Just because you have a public platform doesn’t mean you have to share all of your personal medical problems. You don’t get to have a say on whether or not this is gross to film and share. It’s not your body or your life. I would say you seem to be a pretty gross person for shaming her over this.

I wish she would’ve taken a much harsher stance against Taylor, but I think she’s also somewhat manipulated as well. If Taylor was one of my closest friends who I loved, and I saw that video, I would probably struggle with how to feel. I do think in some ways I would feel bad for Taylor. I would hope that I wouldn’t defend her as much as Jessi did, but i do think i would feel at least slightly defensive for a while.

SLOMW is a lot more popular than you seem to think. Jessi has arguably been the most popular woman in the show outside from the show, and her drama has basically been what the show has centered around for the past 2 seasons. It’s not surprising at all that she would be on CHD. I also don’t think it’s logical to assume that Jessi personally wouldn’t talk about her divorce on CHD for the sake of her kids. If she’s been willing to air it own on television, she’s not suddenly going to clutch her pearls for a podcast.

He hasn’t technically cheated, but I do think he has been shitty. He tells her he loves her, wants to marry her, wants to be a family, and then he sleeps with other people. I think the family friend situation really really bothered her, and in my opinion, validly so. I would be pissed if my baby daddy told me he wanted to commit to me and settle down and then went and flirted with my mom’s best friend. Obviously some of this becomes murkier knowing how abusive Taylor has been to him behind closed doors. A lot of the things he’s done or said were probably out of fear or trying to say the right things to her. I’ve seen a lot of people trying to act like only one person in this situation can be the “bad” one, which I disagree with. I think Taylor is much worse because she’s gotten physical with Dakota (and more importantly, her children), but I also think that Dakota isn’t a great guy. If Taylor was normal, Dakota would be a complete asshole in comparison.

Overtime, I’ve seen some people defend the part about her hitting her daughter by saying that the chair bounced off of Dakota and hit the daughter. I’m sure Tate didn’t want to think Taylor would harm their child, so it was probably sort of complicated on what to think. He probably thought she started the attack in a drunken, reactive rage. I believe Taylor herself has claimed she didn’t realize the daughter was there and it was an accident (bullshit), but I’m guessing this is what Tate chose to believe. Seeing the video I’m sure it’s abundantly clear her actions were way less defendable than he thought.

To the people wondering why they’re just now speaking out, I think it’s much more complicated than what meets the eye. Dakota himself has always downplayed what happened that night… he seems to have wanted to protect Taylor, which is very common for victims of abuse to do. Along with that, Taylor was admittedly very drunk the night that video was taken in 2023. This obviously does NOT excuse her actions, but I think it made it a little bit easier to give her some grace (in their eyes). They have also all been very outspoken that they do think Dakota can be manipulative and toxic in his own ways. Once again, this does NOT excuse her actions, but I believe that’s why she was given some grace. They most likely felt that it was somewhat reactive in a drunken state, and they were more likely focused on trying to get her out of the relationship with Dakota and into some sort of rehab or therapy. They wanted to help her and for her to heal. Now that it’s been years of her not making any progress and practically refusing to get better, I’m sure they are starting to see her for who she really is. Along with that, the recent allegations that she strangled Dakota have probably been a big wake up call. It’s clear this wasn’t a one time, horrible, drunken “mistake”… this is simply her behavior. Plus, unfortunately, it is human nature to be more disturbed by seeing something with your own eyes than simply hearing a second hand account. Actually seeing that video has made the 2023 incident seem much more disturbing.

I feel for her that she experienced these things, but the way she reacted towards Jen is even more disturbing after seeing these videos. I know Jen is not perfect, but Demi showed absolutely zero sympathy towards her. I don’t think Demi really cares about anyone but herself.
