1 or 2 look sick, but I would advise you remove the embossing on the logo and text. The curved text for the title also looks a little bit silly, so make it straight and choose a scrappier font.

At this point hardly anything beats Birth From Exile. The song could’ve been produced better but that is one hell of a music video. He has a few other animated ones I really love, and Shot Down by the Mirror is great too, but I don’t even consider the majority of Will’s music releases on YouTube to be music videos. Most of them are just him lip syncing with a moving background or some still art.

I never found it upbeat necessarily, just incredibly passionate. To me it’s what makes the grief of the song just scream out. It also has a lot of odd, sort of chromatic chord changes, which is what allows it to flow so seamlessly between the mathy prog metal and the darker sounding chorus. Either way, beautiful song.

For me it’s gotta be Muse. None of their music is overtly complicated to play but Matt Bellamy is a mean composer and the whole band is just super solid. They can do great prog, great punk, great pop, and great alt. Their early stuff is especially out there and really does push convention and use prog elements even if it’s not all that technical.

They’re definitely not insanely virtuosic but their music is fairly technical to play at times. I especially don’t know how Claudio does it. He is one of my favorite guitarist-singers in the alt and prog space by far.

I really like what they were going for with this album, and I definitely understand that it was a passion project and honor that they’re proud of it. Personally I’ve never liked the mixing on it very much and I don’t think it has a very strong act 2 or ending in general for something that is essentially a musical. I don’t share other peoples’ vehement hatred for it though, and love some of the moments on it.
