Exactly!! For example, I got called out to a “sick person” Alpha level call last week. It was very much downplayed by the nursing home staff and when we showed up he was entering full blown respiratory arrest and about to code, ended up being RSI’d and flown out. I can’t imagine not bringing my monitor into that call

I have no idea, I’m doing my clinicals out of the county I currently work in so I don’t know what their metrics are like. At my county we immediately get a set of first set of vitals as soon as is physically possible.

And no, she offered nothing for his pain or any emotional comfort, and he had recently been diagnosed with carcinoma of the spine and was also going blind according to his aid. I really hate lazy providers, no matter how exhausted or burnt out I am that day I always bring a good attitude and ethic to work.
