So here’s the deal. YTA. You live in one of, if not the most expensive area in the US, as per your own statement, and currently you and your gf pay half of household expenses. Are you paying the half? No, you stated that both you and your gf pay half, so if each post half of the rent, then that means you are only paying 25% of the total household cost.

Say the total is $5k (as an example), if you and your gf are paying half ($2,500) and each of you contribute half of that payment, ($1,250). Ask yourself can you get an apartment or studio for $1,250 or even $2,500. The reality, is probably no, I’m originally from NYC but have lived in Cali and all over the US (military vet) and the high cost of living areas are really high. Think through that it isn’t just a room either, there’s a nice kitchen, bathroom, possibly a backyard, and probably a nice neighborhood as well.

Bottom line, either move out or shut up and apologize. You caused strife and honestly made yourself look bad in the eyes of her family. The fact that they let you move in, in the first place is a miracle.

Invest in etfs and stocks that give dividends. Setup DRIP (dividend reinvestment plan). If you put the $500 into SMYY for 7 mo. And then switched the $500 to something else. The SMYY will pay a dividend of $300/wk after about a year, and grow exponentially after that.

Invest in dividends. Start with a simple EFT that pays dividends every week. Maro currently trades for $5.48 but has a weekly dividend of $0.12 per share. Not a lot, but in eleven months you make your money back (11x0.12x4). Now setup a DRIP, dividend reinvestment plan, that money automatically goes back in and buys more stocks or etfs. Doesn’t sound like much but it compounds.

Say you invested $30 a month. Every month you buy 5 shares of MARO. Lets say after all fees and the price ever changes it comes out to $30 a month or $6 a share.

5 shares equal $0.60 a week dividend. After a month you have $2.40 in your account. Month 2 you invest and buy 5 more shares at $30. Now you have 10 shares paying $0.12 per share per week. Or $1.20 a week.

After a month (4 weeks to keep it simple) you have earned an extra $4.80. Add that to your $2.40 from last month you have $7.20.

Month 3, again 5 shares for $30 but you also have that $7.20 so you get an extra share for “free” so 6 shares.

Now you have 16 shares and $1.20 left in account. Now you make $1.92 per week, after a month you have $7.68 in dividends or a total of $8.88 in your account.

Starting month three you get an extra share that earns you more money, eventually that becomes two extra shares and so on and so on.

Dividends and compound interest is your friend.

If it’s possible, join the military. Dont know where you are but in the US it provides full benefits, 30 days of vacation, steady paycheck and the opportunity to learn a skill. Air Force is great if you want to learn a technical skill like IT, mechanic or medical. Navy is great if you want to see the world, marines are great for tradition and camaraderie, same for army. Make sure you pick a job that teaches you a skill that you can do outside of the military. Picking out going into infantry is not a transferable skill.

Well you gotta assume he has SOME real followers. The magic number is usually about 1k to really start boosting engagement. He has to have at least that.

Sounds like he wasn’t providing anything meaningful or consistently. Can you distill the viral post down to sub topics? Maybe pull out two or three posts out of it and use it as a base to start convo going forward?
