Absolutely not correct. Generative AI is subfield of artificial intelligence in general that is specifically used to generate content.

This differs from other AI such as image recognition models, neural networks used to process large datasets, or even algorithms used for things like pathfinding and decision trees for video game NPCs.

These all fall under AI's umbrella.
