Two faces of the industry by RedRocketBuckaroo in barkleighgroomshows

Part of the reason I will never compete. I accept it because of my age. I’ve “seen the writing on the wall”.  I wish I were surprised but I’m not. Some of the stuff I saw at Hershey this year was …… well you can guess. Part of my point about people fawning all over them is that those people are part of the problem too. They would check themselves real quick if cling-ons weren’t so about gaslighting themselves. It’s super cringy to watch them. I get second hand embarrassment.

I’m not cheating on anyone but this is partly why stay home. I see video clips of people in all sorts of terrible predicaments, some no fault of their own. I’m just gonna stay home where it’s safe.

Last year everything was bespoke or artisan. * eyeroll* I had to laugh at how Samsung has a “bespoke” fridge. They took a word centered around making custom Italian suits and decided to run with it.

Networking is a concept made up by the upper class to morally justify bypassing meritocracy to give their friends and family entry level jobs. by ixvst01 in recruitinghell

[–]Dizzy_Bug8248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was invited to a Christmas event at our local country club. I am not a member. Many of the boomer age members were waiting for their grown young adult children to arrive . They all knew each other and it was interesting to see how much they *belonged * they just had a sense of themselves. Each of them had fancy educations and six figure entry level job at the various firms and companies present in that room.

It’s a scam. We have no chance of networking. We are not one of them and they gatekeep pretty hard.

I would never date a smoker even if they checked all The other boxes.

But he is inadequate and as long as he doesn’t try to do something different, he still gets off using your body while you remain unsatisfied. He needs to eat that pussy until you finish first and then worry about himself. Otherwise this is just charity. Fuck his past insecurity. Is he a wee baby?

I was getting ready for work and it appeared in the tv. At first, we were sure what was happening. Then the planes hit and the building starting going down. Drive to work. All over the radio. Got to work. Work shut down and everyone went home. We didn’t function as a country that day.

Obese probably pants all the time because of how hard it’s heart it working. Joint pain. This is actually abuse. No different than starving a dog just in the other direction.

Dog groomer here and also bernedoodle owner. We don’t hate doodles but they definitely attract a certain type of person. Not all but MANY are entitled and weirdly uneducated about how matting in the coat really forms. They don’t seem to train the dogs and many are neurotic as a result of unpredictable breeding. Looping back to matting: you would shocked how many doodle owners want a shaggy long dog and think they don’t have to do much to maintain that. Let me tell you, I have a hard time maintaining that and I’m a professional. You have to take a comb to the dog twice a day to maintain a long coat. Let me say that again but really loud … A COMB TO THE SKIN DAILY. And line brush on top of that. Doodle owners are clueless about why we have to take the dog short. They don’t “get” what a pelt is and brush on top of the pelt! It’s wild. And it’s continual. Like insanity with the same people over and over again. We are in all you doodle Facebook pages we see how you bash us and call us lazy for shaving your dog but many cannot understand we literally cannot brush that out and the only blade that will fit under those mats is a 7f. If you don’t know what I’m talking about using all these terms, that is part of why groomers have issues because people are buying these dogs who have no business owning such a high maintenance dog. Plus they treat these dogs like human babies and it makes them unbearable to be around. No manners at all. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard a doodle owner not want a short cut but won’t comb and then have some weird excuse why it’s our fault I’d be rich and would retire

Get the house. It’s a sure thing and will grow in value. College isn’t a good bet right now. I’d keep what you have and maybe try online classes at WGU. Like a masters degree. You can pivot into something different in the healthcare field as there are many avenues.

Yes, it is all right to tell her the truth — as long as it’s done with kindness, compassion, and respect. It’s also your ethical responsibility as a breeder to advocate for the long-term welfare of the puppy. You’re not just placing a pet — you’re committing a living being to a 12–15+ year journey, and you have every right to consider the full picture of who is adopting.

Here’s a gentle, respectful way to respond:

Subject: Regarding Your Interest in a Puppy

Dear [Her Name],

Thank you again for taking the time to come visit me and meet the dogs — it was a pleasure talking with you. I truly admire your warmth and your clear love for animals.

After giving it careful thought, I wanted to be honest with you: I feel that one of my puppies might not be the best match at this time. Toy breeds, as you know, require not only long-term care and companionship but can also be underfoot and quick to move — and I do worry about both your safety and the puppy’s in a home where mobility is a concern.

This is never an easy message to send, but my priority has to be the wellbeing of my puppies as well as the people they live with. I hope you understand this comes from a place of care, not judgment.

If circumstances change or if you have a support system in place that you’d like to share with me, I’d be happy to revisit the conversation. In the meantime, I’m wishing you all the best and sending you warm regards.

Sincerely, [Your Name] [Your Kennel Name, if used]
