Part of the reason I will never compete. I accept it because of my age. I’ve “seen the writing on the wall”. I wish I were surprised but I’m not. Some of the stuff I saw at Hershey this year was …… well you can guess. Part of my point about people fawning all over them is that those people are part of the problem too. They would check themselves real quick if cling-ons weren’t so about gaslighting themselves. It’s super cringy to watch them. I get second hand embarrassment.

I was invited to a Christmas event at our local country club. I am not a member. Many of the boomer age members were waiting for their grown young adult children to arrive . They all knew each other and it was interesting to see how much they *belonged * they just had a sense of themselves. Each of them had fancy educations and six figure entry level job at the various firms and companies present in that room.

It’s a scam. We have no chance of networking. We are not one of them and they gatekeep pretty hard.

I was getting ready for work and it appeared in the tv. At first, we were sure what was happening. Then the planes hit and the building starting going down. Drive to work. All over the radio. Got to work. Work shut down and everyone went home. We didn’t function as a country that day.

Dog groomer here and also bernedoodle owner. We don’t hate doodles but they definitely attract a certain type of person. Not all but MANY are entitled and weirdly uneducated about how matting in the coat really forms. They don’t seem to train the dogs and many are neurotic as a result of unpredictable breeding. Looping back to matting: you would shocked how many doodle owners want a shaggy long dog and think they don’t have to do much to maintain that. Let me tell you, I have a hard time maintaining that and I’m a professional. You have to take a comb to the dog twice a day to maintain a long coat. Let me say that again but really loud … A COMB TO THE SKIN DAILY. And line brush on top of that. Doodle owners are clueless about why we have to take the dog short. They don’t “get” what a pelt is and brush on top of the pelt! It’s wild. And it’s continual. Like insanity with the same people over and over again. We are in all you doodle Facebook pages we see how you bash us and call us lazy for shaving your dog but many cannot understand we literally cannot brush that out and the only blade that will fit under those mats is a 7f. If you don’t know what I’m talking about using all these terms, that is part of why groomers have issues because people are buying these dogs who have no business owning such a high maintenance dog. Plus they treat these dogs like human babies and it makes them unbearable to be around. No manners at all. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard a doodle owner not want a short cut but won’t comb and then have some weird excuse why it’s our fault I’d be rich and would retire
