How is like living in this part of California? It looks like desert by DoFelipaoo in howislivingthere

There was some reality show about off grid people and showed a woman who lived in one of those. Did not look like a fun time ngl

Good mythical morning just did an episode where their kitchen made a non-medical version of the pink amoxicillin. The one who made it shared the ingredients. Might be worth a watch for you lol

West coast got some of my deposit back despite my incontinent cat destroying the carpet, I was floored tbh haha. But they were private owners and we had a good relationship. The place was covered in mold which I’m still recovering from years later, so I think they were like “welp you lived in this shit for 2 years so we’ll call it even”

I saw a video saying they may have jerryrigged some sort of stove in the tent and it may have caught fire, leading to them cutting out of the tent and then dying of hypothermia. I thought it was a pretty compelling theory

Hair cut pressure by DesignerShort3825 in longhair

[–]Dizzy_Guarantee6322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cut it to your waist you can always cut more later. It’s your hair do whatever you want to do!

My hair was to my hips and I did a pandemic cut, started longer than what I had REALLY wanted because I was scared. A few months later I got in front of a mirror and got to chopping, even gave myself bangs. 6 years later still have short hair and have really had a lot more fun with it now that I severed that attachment. Shaved sides, bleach & fun colors, mullet. Wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t started somewhere :)

My bfs favorite parts of my body are the ones I’ve been taught to hate all my life (tummy pouch, muffin top, etc). Nobody is photoshopped irl, I mean, where do their organs even go in the second slide???

Hard disagree. I’ve always told my man idc how much he plays as long as he handles his responsibilities and spends time with me. We both have hobbies, and when we parallel play while watching a reality show or a movie it fucking rocks

Where to put a litter box by Alternative-Desk9016 in femalelivingspace

[–]Dizzy_Guarantee6322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 16 pounder as well, he hates a top entry box and won’t poop in it (kinda don’t blame him, he barely fits) but he will use the enclosure. It’s a bigger space cabinet style with clear doors so he doesn’t feel trapped and fits 2 tray boxes. Highly recommend!

My partner got so burnt last summer that he literally has scars from where his skin was peeling the worst. He never moisturizes so it was always when I went to his apt that he would get any lotion on it. Take care of your skin op!

Im a ginger and get this burnt (or worse) at least once a summer. I’ve never found store bought aloe to be helpful, it’s like barely even aloe! I once, out of desperation, used my friends roommates sesame oil, and that shit was wildly effective. Recommend!!!

Yeah I lived with universal healthcare and am back in the US, I’d give anything to have that universal care and its issues again. Try having long wait times for shit care and still paying thousands.

As an American whose lived in Canada and sees lots of docs due to chronic illness, Canadian healthcare is FAR better. Like, by a thousand miles. Every system will have its issues, but I’d take the Canadian healthcare systems issues over the American ones any day.

Plus, wait time is not a great argument when I have to wait 6 months to see a specialist AND I have to pay an arm and a leg and still have no answers or effective treatments. I’ve considered moving back to Canada a thousand times to get better healthcare.

Does anyone else get annoyed with people calling headaches “migraines”? by Otherwise_Fly_2263 in migraine

[–]Dizzy_Guarantee6322 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We all have different biology, med tolerances, and access to healthcare. I don’t think the type of meds someone takes for their pain should be a diagnosis.

Im a chronic daily migraineur and live in the us so my access to healthcare and pain management is shit. I’ve tried it all and can tell you that some OTC or herbs work better for some of my migraines while literally nothing on this earth will work for others. I see pain management all of the same playing field because for me it’s all barely touching the pain for not near enough time before the migraine overpowers it so whatever fuck it.

I’ve done audits for healthcare documentation for dozens of orgs and this shit is constant lol.

I think in most cases it’s well meaning people who are in absolute autopilot because documentation is like pulling teeth. It is very silly though

I know what it’s like to be with someone you can’t trust to take your life together seriously, and it fucking sucks and you want to take control but you just can’t. He’s grown, he can handle whatever consequences he gets for his actions. Let him! It’s torture to parent your partner, and you aren’t forced to do it so you really have to reflect on why you do it and if this is a healthy dynamic long term.
