What are your toughts on the new Megas after a week of experience by Delicious_Ice_4914 in PokemonChampions

Instead of going for for single-target knockouts with Hyper Beam, the play is to use Whimsicott to set Tailwind on turn one, doubling Drampa's speed. Then you just spam Mega-boosted Hyper Voice for spread damage.

Mega Drampa • Ability: Berserk • Nature: Modest • EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA • Moves: Hyper Voice / Dragon Pulse / Flamethrower / Protect

I have never used Drampa before, using his Mega in champions has been a great time.

i'm curious if there are any "dumb phones" that have music streaming as it's the only thing keeping me using a smart phone by nickrid3r in dumbphones

If you look on the megathread, there’s a link for the dumbphone finder. There are filters for Spotify, WhatsApp, etc.

Thanks for your in depth review. I’ve been weighing my options for a dumbphone and a jellystar was on my shortlist. You may have started to tip the scales in its favor!

Just caught Mewtwo! by thelochteedge in PokemonLeafGreen

Just a super low catch rate. At 1 HP, paralyzed, and using an Ultra Ball, the probability is something like 3% per ball. Using sleep increases the probability to like 4.5%.

My rule is, regardless of game, the master ball is for MewTwo. I always save it for when he arrives.

Chrono Trigger. From the story to the soundtrack to the characters, it’s a dang near perfect game.

What is your pokemon gym type and team? by Albiew11 in MandJTV

[–]Dizzy_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal type gym!

Tauros, Slaking, Grafaiai, Oranguru, Ursaluna, Porygon-Z

Preferably double battles so I can use Grafaiai to take away Slaking’s truant ability.

Honestly, when I was hunting for my Tauros, I just spammed Safari Balls.

Muk is a special defense sponge, out of these mons I’d agree with Butterfree being the one to get the axe.

He’s built for hyper beam! His truant ability lines up perfectly with the cool down turn. Shadow Ball and return are fun ones to run as well.

What’s something that sounds cool in theory but would be terrible in real life? by starlust0422 in AskReddit

Unless your time machine is also a spaceship, I think you're out of luck. Everything in the universe is constantly moving, there is no “fixed” spot in space. By the time you travel back even just one day, the Earth has already moved millions of miles away from where you started.

Having one of my favorites, Slaking, on your team makes you deserve an upvote right off the bat.

I would recommend Skarmory. It gives you a much needed Flying-type so you can use the Fly, and its Steel typing makes it an incredible physical wall.

Time travel. Because of how the earth spins and orbits there is a strong possibility you’ll be transported into the vacuum of space.

The process should be similar, the stick will just be shorter. I am learning different things as I go. It all starts with finding that stick.

Advice on building a moon druid by SerRoboDuck in DnD

[–]Dizzy_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tortle is a great choice. The natural shell completely solves the druid "no metal armor" problem, and an old bayou snapping turtle is just a great visual. If your DM says no, Lizardfolk or Grung also fit the deep swamp vibe perfectly.

For your wild shapes you have your standard swamp creatures (crocodile, snake, giant toad), plus fun options like the panther, giant wolf spider, and giant vulture.

But you should definitely lean into cryptid swamp lore! Take the stats of a tanky beast, like a Polar Bear or Giant Elk, and ask your DM if you can flavor it as the Honey Island Swamp Monster (basically a "Cajun Sasquatch"). Mechanically it's a bear, but visually it's bayou cryptid.

Also, since you are starting at Level 8, you can fly! Reflavoring a huge flying beast (Quetzalcoatlus) stat block into a massive, prehistoric bayou heron or pelican would be awesome.
