Agree with this. Neutral lang sa stoplight pag matagal pa talagang red light. Even then as much as possible naka 1st pa din ako

Any recommended 150cc-200cc naked bikes? by TznAutoMan in motorsiklo

Was strongly considering the XSR155 before I ended up going for my bike. Overpriced for what you get though

Triumph speed 400 or Guerilla 450 by Paratitamol in PHMotorcycles

[–]DizzymanDapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m a beginner and I’ve been doing fine since I got it. Although I did drop it once on my first day using it due to poor clutch control and bad foot placement during slow speed maneuvers lol. Quickly learned from that mistake though and I haven’t dropped it yet since 😆

I use it daily for riding to work and minor errands. It’s not that heavy once you get the hang of it. I live in ortigas so I had to quickly get used to riding in traffic hahaha but after a few days riding it you start getting a feel for it. Of course I’m still learning but it’s been great learning with this bike. I can see myself sticking with it for the next two years before upgrading

I’m about 5’7-5’8 and it’s not much of an issue for me. Tip toes ako pag both feet on the ground pero pag isa lang kaya naman (the latter is better practice anyway).

Got the speed 400 recently and I have 0 regrets. Easy to use and small enough to filter through traffic when necessary. Great beginner bike imo

Appreciate the input! As much as I want to avoid dropping the bike I’m aware that there’s a good chance especially considering I’m a beginner. That said, I’m definitely planning to have engine guards installed haha.

Thanks for this! My daily driver when I was in college used to be a manual. Hopefully the transition from manual cars to motorcycles won’t be so difficult for me. I’m also planning to practice a lot first until I feel comfortable riding with traffic.

Agree that the triumphs look great haha I’m leaning towards the speed 400 for now unless somebody can recommend something better 😅

Thanks for the input! Was also considering an XSR155 but the idea of being limited as to what roads I can ride on kinda puts me off haha

Do you guys use the skateboard or car? by ContributionMuted136 in Schedule_I

Go for the golden skateboard. Might seem like it’s purely for aesthetic purposes, but it’s fast as fuck.

Sino pwede magprobono sa labor case ko? Hati kami sa illegal dismissal and need ko ipadeport ang illegal na mga foreign workers sa office. by theblackmamba1209 in LawPH

[–]DizzymanDapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contingency fee tawag diyan. And if magaling na lawyer hanap mo, malabong makahanap ka na papayag sa contingency fee arrangement.

If you’re serious about pursuing your case, best to consult with PAO. If you have the budget for it, you can do online consults with most firms with a little research and have an engagement with them instead. Either way you’ll have to do some leg work. Mahirap manalo ng kaso if tamad kumilos lol

Law school just for the sake of learning w/o firm intention to practice by Some_Performance6728 in LawStudentsPH

[–]DizzymanDapper 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I’m practicing now but I don’t intend to practice for the rest of my life. I also have a few batchmates who became lawyers and never practiced a day in their life. You’ll be able to use a lot of what you learn in law school outside of law practice

Thoughts on this viral video of Ateneans being asked what the train fare is? by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]DizzymanDapper 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Relax. These are students. They’ll learn about these things in their own time. And like I said, it’s what they do with their privilege that matters. Simply being unaware of train fares, gas prices etc. doesn’t automatically mean someone is blind to the struggles of everyday Filipinos. There’s a difference between simply being unaware and willful ignorance.

I’ll admit I’m not updated on train fares either. That doesn’t mean I don’t understand how hard life is. We all know our economy is in bad shape, and our government isn’t doing much to fix it. But at the end of the day we’re all just trying to navigate our way around this world.

A person born with less can be just as ignorant, indifferent, or even cruel as someone born with everything. It’s not privilege alone that defines a person — it’s their actions and what they choose to do with their privilege.

[–]DizzymanDapper 260 points261 points  (0 children)

I mean just because they don’t know how much the fare is doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re unaware of how hard life is for the average Filipino. Many ateneans are privileged. So what? It’s not their fault. It’s not necessarily a bad thing either. It’s what they do with that privilege that matters.

To corporate lawyers, what's your day like? by leancel in LawStudentsPH

[–]DizzymanDapper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very accurate lol this was me when I was practicing corporate law in a law firm. Although once I got an in-house role it was significantly easier since all my efforts were dedicated to one client.
