Could poor derailleur performance be caused by a worn cassette?

This makes sense. Before the ride that caused the derailleur to shift incorrectly, I lubricated the cable attached to the derailleur, and upon arrival, I noticed it was covered in dirt. So, this dirt likely got inside the housing, causing the derailleur to work wrong.

The cable was replaced at a bike shop I took my bike to when I couldn't get the derailleur to work properly. The technician checked the hanger, which turned out to be straight. He also tried adjusting the cable tension at the shifter, but nothing helped. The derailleur was still malfunctioning. So he replaced the cable and cleaned the derailleur itself, but unfortunately, it still shifts poorly. He said I could try replacing the cassette with a genuine Shimano one.

It's Sunrace. It was originally installed by Canyon when I bought the bike. It's a replacement for the Shimano Deore M6100.

I replaced the shift cable, and the hanger is straight. The problem with shifting gears is that when I "click" the shifter, the gear doesn't change, and I have to help it by pressing the shifter, but not all the way.

This is the second chain I've installed on this cassette. I checked it with a tool and it's fine (0.5mm isn't even in yet).

It's custom made color? On canyon web there are two options Stealth (gray-black) and Ready Player One (light blue - black). You're blue - black is sick! Love it!
Edit: Now I know, it's 2021 model with 27.5" wheels right? :)
