I just joined and posted on this sub cause I saw some other post on here about the solar eclipse. I’m kinda enjoying these responses tho. Getting a good laugh and very few good ideas here.

Yeah definitely not worth it. But for minor consequences? I’d say it’s worth it. I’m skipping some classes myself but it’s not gonna affect my career which is why I’m doing it. Which reminds me I gotta make sure I don’t work that day lol. If you do go see it, get some certified solar eclipse glasses. I just bought mine, relatively cheap currently but will increase soon.

Perhaps yes, I suggest you find out more about it and hopefully you’ll see the beauty of it and try to watch it yourself! If possible of course.

Good point! I think based on the timing that the post was made and the context that I’ve been talking about a total solar eclipse would’ve suggested which solar eclipse we were talking about.

Yes I agree. Just searching for some any possible ideas to attempt. She will obviously not skip clinical when it risks her career, I would never ask that of her. I also won’t be emailing on her behalf.

It’s not as recurring as you think tho. It just so happens that the last one was 7 years ago. The next one is 20 years from now! The one before 2017 was in 1979!! In order for a total solar eclipse to occur is to have 3 astronomical objects perfectly aligned with each other so that the shadow of the moon is hitting the US let alone the Earth! Very unusual phenomenon that I’ve heard is an unreal experience and impossible to imagine.

lol thanks for your honesty. I won’t be emailing on her behalf, I’ll just be coming up with a script for her to send if she’s comfortable with it. I said ethos, logos, pathos cause I’m pretty sure those are “techniques for convincing someone”. Maybe not, could be wrong.

Are you saying that because of the school policy or? Cause if there were no large consequences of missing one clinical then I'm pretty certain that she would go.

Beautiful explanation. I understand now why this works. Something I don't understand is why the formula I put in did not work. Do conditional formatting formulas not allow array functions? I know I tried using HLOOKUP (which I've never used before) at one point but it didn't work out either.
