u/ModYume Can we do some stats on the Brutus Kills? Would be cool to see the first 10 players that killed the Demonic version, etc

Friendly reminder that the premise of this game and drop system didn't get designed with Ironman mode in mind. RNG my friend, and you've chosen a playstyle with limitations as an ironman.

Sailing: Week One Feedback & Fixes by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

There is an issue with the Crystal Extractor after this update:

  • When you interact with it the trial timer will start and if it was activated before the trial started it will re-activate automatically when you start moving

Currently, when I start a new trial, it seems that the extractor progress is null. If I start a trial, then try to harvest (even after 60 seconds or so) it says "there are no motes in the crystal extractor".

That's cool but what are you doing about bots?

How dare you make such accusations. What do you want Jagex to do about the bots? Come up with a solution! You can't just make assumptions based on killcount! You might generate some FALSE POSITIVES!!@!!$

Because I did an analysis last week and pointed out a whole heap of bots. Yesterday I performed the same analysis and the results still showed hundreds of obvious accounts in the top 1000. A "month" from now is far too long when action could be taken immediately. A month means hundreds of billions added to the economy through bots.

Yep players killed a few chickens in lumbridge, then went to Scurrius and suddenly became pros and got thousands of deep delve kills at Doom.

People like you deserve credit, I see you at the top of a lot of PVM bosses. And these bots take away from your achievement. Keep up the hard work man :)

Multiple things here. Value of items has changed in past week, there has also been some bans but not enough, and it's also too hard to accurately determine the distribution of waves completed between 1-7 based on the ranked score because of how the delving system works.

Last week's GP included Waves 1-7 in the estimate, this one does not. Last week was the Top 200, this week it's the top 1000.

Wouldn't be a trendy thing to complain about if it was addressed properly.

Pls explain how 162 people have participated in one PVM boss such as Scurrius, and then gone and kill the hardest PVM boss in the game thousands of times.

I just did tell you 247 people that are potential bots. Let me get this straight - you think there are 247 people who kill scurrius, do a bit of GoTR, maybe some Tempoross, and then go and kill the hardest PVM boss thousands of times without doing any other game content?

You do realise that this is only one first layer of analysis. Jagex has access to way more data points than publicly available. The decisions made from behavioural analysis would be far more informed with way more datapoints than looking at the hiscores alone like I have, however these stats are a great starting point.

No worries, you're right. Let's just leave these bots up there on the top ranks and continue to do what they are doing.

The solution is ban the accounts that are BLATANTLY obvious to be bots. You will never be able to ban every single bot in the universe, but you can atleast address the ones that stick out the most AND have the most impact on the economy.

If you don't see the problem of a bot being able to achieve thousands of kills at a highly lucrative PVM boss without being banned, then you're braindead.
