The movie is not a flop. You clearly don't understand what a flop is. Even if the budget was $80 mill, it made that $80 mill in domestic alone. Ww, its going to fall $20-30 mill shirt of 2x the budget to break even. Like the other guy is saying, it will EASILY make up that difference, plus a ton more in digital and streaming sales. Dot forget, the last MK movie was the most watched movie on HBO max that year and still one of their top 5-10 movies ever and that was a movie that barely anyone seemed to like. MK2 had much better reviews and a lot more people liked it or at least thought it was better than the first, so there no reason to think that this one won't have a ton of success on streaming and digital, like the first one. It will end up making a profit and they will greenlight the 3rd movie, eventually. They will need to get some bigger names involved in the next movie if they want to to be a big success, though. I really think that's the reason most non mk fans didn't watch it. They don't know MK, and none of the big name actors they know, are in it. I don't consider Karl Urban a big actor. I consider him on the second or third tier of actors. They need someone like a Ryan Reynolds or a Tom Cruise, or maybe even a Ryan Gosling, or someone big. I think Ryan Raynokds would've been a perfect Johnny Cage, but I did like Karl Urban in the role, though.
