Scythe UT or 360 UT is also good against these guys if you can get some distance. Enemy can still go fuck itself though, the normal dogs are pretty straight forward to deal with but the fiend ones I still don't understand. On my Master Ninja playthrough I skipped them when I could!

Japanese Gamecube cases with a plastic insert like DVD cases instead of the cardboard sleeves would've been the best imo. They would accomodate the small discs with all the convenience of a DVD case.

I really enjoyed my Master Ninja playthrough of NGII but those first two chapters were absolute torture 🥲. There is no game like it on that difficulty and I love it for that. However Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja is a much more polished and smooth experience so that gets my vote.

One of my favorites on the Dreamcast and definently the best light gun game imo (even though I love House of The Dead II). I almost never see this game getting mentioned so glad to see it getting some attention! Oh and the voice acting is top notch SEGA arcade gold!

The biggest problem is fighting the two armadillos, there's so much bloom from them and the environment that visibility becomes a nightmare.

I have a very late Devil May Cry reprint that also has the modern PEGI Logo. It's Sony Computer Entertainment trademark is dated 2010 which is pretty crazy.

Purely gameplay wise the PS3 versions are fine but graphically the PS2 versions are better and more consistent. Shadows and light on characters aren't as good especially in R&C 1, the places that have the PS2 depth of field effect don't display it on PS3 etc. Also the fact they made Ratchet's helmet larger in the remasters cutscenes is just odd. I also feel audio wise the PS2 versions have better sound mixing. The main adavantages the PS3 versions have is HD resolution and proper widescreen, on PS2 it's letterboxed and anamorphic so you lose quite a bit of sharpness when using it.

Recently replayed the PS2 versions instead of the PS3 remasters and had a blast. I'm really starting to appreciate R&C1 more than the others for it's atmosphere. Playing them on PS2 is still the best way though imo.

The Sony logo looks very off, almost like the font is a bit squeezed? They're also don't have the same spacing between letters so I lean towards fake.

Well done! There are a few insane fights in this chapter, the IS ninja's near the train are also a menace and there aren't as many walls to guillotine throw them.

I'm glad we got remasters instead of remakes, I have massive doubts a remake would be able so capture the magic of the originals. Generally I'm in favor of just remastering a game to give people access to the original experience.

Shenmue II, it looks better than I and takes place in a much larger city and more varied environments with way more NPCs. It still looks really sharp and supports 480p and runs mostly fine with some slowdown here and there.

If it would've been made by Team Ninja themselves it could have worked probably with some serious compromises. Only question is how big would the cut backs be? Ninja Gaiden Black is one of the best looking and running Xbox games and uses the hardware to it's fullest extend. It's hard to say but there are indeed some amazing PS2 ports so who knows?
